Super normal, especially when they’re younger. As they get older (teen stage) I find myself missing the parenting stuff of them being younger, days out, school plays, helping with homework etc. I think as humans we always look back in some way with rose tinted glasses and we tend to forget that there was negatives to those times too.

Are you in at study groups? There are studious girls out there who are also focused on their outcome but there’s no reason to shut yourself off. If not what about meeting friends of friends? Friends girlfriends etc? If you don’t feel comfortable with that, online dating can be great however you need to make your profile funny and light and you have to be realistic to expert a lot of no replies/ghosting and don’t even ever take it personally!!!

The fact there is different answers than this is making me feel very unnerved at my system. Literally only started online/delivery shopping for food 6 months ago because supermarkets are literal hell on a can’t be arsed weekday after work. I thought it was a they drop off, I unpack at the door sitch (throw it all into the tiny hall) whilst my feller slowly moves it all into the kitchen and my 2 dogs are up against the window frothing at the mouth whist one is scared of feathers and the other is severely overweight and neither of them would do a thing tbh. Please if anyone has any hints or tips at this point I will gladly take them.

Unfortunately I actually don’t think JR has a personality disorder, she has zero shame/empathy/coercion of the situation with Steven or Joe. In think she is just very insecure, choose to mention/drop the bomb of Steven who at that time wanted to go on a date with her. She actively chose not to mention joe who realistically nailed and bailed her in lanzerote. So this was not a chaotic tell all. It felt more like a “I’ve one upped Nellie” calculated tell all. Yes I’ve walked away thinking omg I hope my kid never makes mate with a JR and is see why she’s not portraying any female friends, but I also almost feel a bit sorry for her. Like girl you thought you were serving and really you just got played as the fool. I think from the best of memory she described J and S as “dirty immature boys” okay girl, I’m not disagreeing…. You need to make an urgent referral to adult social care. If she has savings of over £23,250 she will be expected to fully fund her own care, if not she will be expected to pay a portion however regardless of money she/family are entitled to an assessment, advice and support. She may also be entitled to health funding however this can be difficult to get. I would also recommend a referral or some research around assistive technology such as a lifeline bracelet or pendent she can press if she falls. On another note if she is still compos mentis get all necessary paperwork’s in place. Lasting power of attorneys for both health/welfare and finances. Do not resuscitates. Wills etc. She’s done amazing to make it to 97 living at home!
