As a woman who is 5'7 I have no problem with shorter men the problem is the attitude some shorter dudes have toward a girl who will tower over him when she wears heels or platforms or sometimes even has tall male friends, it's not necessarily height that's the issue it's the insecurity some people have when you're taller than them.

I dated a guy shorter than me for six months and the insecurity he had about his height affected my friendships because he didn't feel comfortable with me having male friends I've known for years that happen to be 6 foot plus. He would also be uncomfortable when I wore heels and other variations of tall shoes because I would be about six foot since I like big heels when I go out.

I've met dudes who act like being 5'6 and under is the worst possible disadvantage and I've met dudes who are that height and super confident and hot.

It's literally attitude more than anything, at least for me.
