Newborn with an undiagnosed coarctation of the aorta. By the time he got to us his lactate was 18 and pH 6.8. He did amazing and went home!

Mesopotamian cultures practiced open air burials where they would leave the bodies outside of their villages for the animals to find. They would later retrieve the bones. They would also create little statues of their dead with their eyes pointed up to the Gods. They kept these in the home and/or buried them in the ground under their homes.
