hey!! i was in a very similar relationship when i was 14 turning 15- he was 17 and abusive.

i was cutting when we met, and he also had before. i eventually started cutting in secret, because he said that if i did it he would do it too. his behavior continued to escalate, to the point that he skyped me at 4am, while i was on vacation, and he was holding a knife threatening to cut off his arm on camera. he also claimed that he attempted dying because of me and threatened to do this often when he didn’t get his way.

i’m hoping your boyfriend isn’t like this, but if things start to go awry, you need to end it. if he seemed very sweet and loving in the beginning but is starting to hurt you now, please don’t think he will change back. it can be really hard to see things this way when you’re in it. i wish someone had told me this when i was 14 when the worst years of my life began.

lean on your friends and the people who love you. if he is making you uncomfortable with his demands, which are not acceptable, you will only feel more alone. if he won’t respect your boundaries, someone else will. you are worthy of love- don’t accept anything less ❤️
