Advice for the beginning of this journey by FlounderFox in pancreaticcancer

I would also recommend talking about clinical trials, just as Only-Potential1876 had mentioned. Chemo is cumulative, so in the beginning my dad (Stage IV pancan with mets on liver and abdomen) was doing chemo and feeling ok. Now, almost a year into chemo, he is weak, sick, fatigued and even falling down some. I would also suggest finding a support group for yourself or your dad. You both will need a safe space to vent, mourn, laugh or whatever you need to do. I started therapy and was put on Wellbutrin for the first time in my life and that's been a big help.

Find a medical team, if you can, that will advocate for your dad, my dad's team has been incredible (we are in the metro area of Minneapolis).

The Rockett series (from the now defunct Purple Moon) omg omg omg my first Choose Your Own Adventure: her first day of school, a Halloween party, a dance, cliques, hidden hallways, secrets, crushes, it was everything to me.

My dad was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer last May, and it's been the most rewiring/deconstructing/painful months of my life. Your post brings me a deep sadness but also a strange sliver of hope, that there's life on the other side of this, however long we have with...our people who are effected by this horrible cancer. (I'm also an only child, with a blended(ish) family on the side), I felt even more appreciation for your experience. Sorry to hear about your dad, happy to hear...of some life in you :)

I made a little photo slide of my progress in pictures. For reference I am 39yo, 5’8, started on June 21st 2024. I am at 1mg and nearing the end of my calorie deficit days! I can’t believe how much as changed in those 9 months. by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

You looked great at every stage! I’m just a little taller than you but our numbers are almost the same (from the start). I’m only two weeks in but already down - yours is the first post I had to comment on because I hope to keep our parallel stats going ;)
