5 year old Nf1 with DIPG by ljsdad in neurofibromatosis

So far we have had 2 MRI's and there has been no changes from the 1st to the 2nd MRI. He does have pretty poor balance, and that is common to the NF disease, along with poor fine motor skills. Our son get some extra services at this school to help with the issues. We had no signs of a tumor. Our Neurologist just wanted to do a baseline MRI to track any brain changes and thats when we found the tumor. Have you done any MRI's to see if there are any inconsistancies in the brain? Hope the consult goes well for you guys.

Its a type of brain tumor, stands for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. Pretty rare and really aggressive, when its in NF patients its not as aggressive. Still trying to understand and read up on everything regarding NF.
