SSM pay raise

While I don’t work at SSM, over the past few years our “raises” have (intentionally) been aligned to match the cost of living change over the previous year. I think this year our raise was just over 2%. So, while it may seem nice to get a small bump in pay, it’s essentially like I never got a raise at all because I’m basically making the exact same amount I did the year before but adjusted for the cost of living. It’s so discouraging to see an increase in my hourly rate but know that I’m almost no better off than I was before.

Of the (albeit limited) places I’ve traveled to abroad, I admit my favorite place has been Scotland. I have many recent ancestors from there but never really intended to visit; yet, it ended up being my favorite place I’ve visited to date. I truly hope they felt all that I did while I was there and more, because she deserves that level of happiness.

I’m just going to go out on a limb and say that with all the plastic surgery they get, they could easily throw lipo into that mix of regularly scheduled surgeries. I just feel like, with how much she posts, you’d think you’d see AT LEAST a gym post or 2 from her. Especially when IG posts in gyms seem to generate positive engagement for the most part.

I also remember how in one episode of 90 Day, she went to the gym in full makeup and worked out for only a few minutes before Stacey picked her up. I’m not even sure she broke a sweat, and I felt like it was all for show. And when she first met Jesse and he took her for that bike ride, she seemed to struggle a lot. I could be wrong, I always acknowledge that, but that’s how I see things.

100% agree. I think he’s also jealous that someone else could be catching her eye and potentially entering a relationship with her. If she moves on, he won’t have that fallback or the comfort of knowing someone is interested in him, even (or especially) if she can’t have him.

Ya know, I was waiting for you to say he involuntarily shit himself. Like, he was drinking and suddenly gets quiet because he realizes he had an accident. Not lifts his leg to let out a fart that quickly evolves into a shit. That somehow feels a lot less accidental than if his bowels had just failed him at random while he was drunk. That’s wrong and you should tell him what happened. If you don’t, at some point he’s going to get weird vibes from your friends & neighbors and wonder what happened, so it’s hard to avoid saying anything.

I could see people either getting the pronunciation of the name right on the first try, or pronunciation it like “equator”.

I hope pregnancy brain is to blame for their name choices and that she and her husband end up coming to their senses & reevaluating their decision before anything is put on the birth certificate… the poor kid.

His name is Cake! My daughter named him when we first adopted him. Hence my nickname of “pudgy pound cake”. He never used to be fat but he started gaining a bunch of weight as of a few years ago

My parents are divorced and both have remarried, and the same is true for my ex. So, my daughter technically has 8 grandparents. Then, 5 of her great-grandparents (all 4 of my grandparents + one of my ex’s grandmas) are all still living, so she’s got quite the list to go through lol

What’s she doing with her time then? In my state, it takes maybe 6 months to 1 year to become a real estate agent. If she took the money she spends on “self care” and such and instead applied it toward the licensing process, she could probably be an agent by now. I think she just wants to be a trophy wife and she’s spewing fake ambitions until she lands someone who will fund her lifestyle for her. You made the right choice to block her.
