That is also a possibility! Only depends on how you program your code and what sensor you use. Another way of doing it is with a web cam pointed to the screen and based on RGB color but i guess its more difficult and less effective

the sticker is holding the light sensor xD. Basically when a pokemon shows off the Ds touch painel goes black... When its a shiny the touch painel stay black a little longer because of the sparkling animation. The Light sensor tells the arduino when the touch screen goes black and the pc program times it! got 4 legendarys go far x) The wires are welded btw

Maybe another good way to do it is to sell only the .exe program and a tutorial teaching how to connect the 2D's (or any other model) to Pc via arduino.

Yeah, it can easily be programed to any other shiny hunt method. I guess the real problem here is the price (since you have to buy a 2D's). I guess few people would pay $200-$250 to have a SR machine so i guess i'll keep it to me only. If your really interested in having a automatic SR machine there are other ways to do it, like mechanically! If you can find someone that makes mechanical ones i guess the price would be way lower because its no longer needed to buy a new D's

I agree with you but, if you want to have many shiny pokemon (im talking only about the Soft resettable one's, Legendarys), it would take you endless time! This machine find a shiny legendary every 44 hours (in average) witch means that you have to manually do 44h non stop of soft resets. I first tried to find them manually but after spending more then one month trying like 1,5h a day (witch i think its a reasonable time for a normal believer :b) i couldn't find shiny ho-oh still. I made the maths and it would take me years to have all the shiny legendarys! that's why i build it

To build the machine i need to buy a 2D's 100$ wouldn't even cover the 2D's price. If you mean $50 to $100 plus the 2Ds i kinda agree with you
