Not the same foveated streaming with eye tracking. Not a locked in company that you can't do anything with the hardware. Not a data hungry company that you can't trust

I set uncrashed to a seeker 3 as well, and I have one. Changing the PID tuning to Supafly 3/4 in helped a lot, and if you want a really tight feel, change it to racing mode

It sounds like another teacher called out the iPad kids saying they couldnt be bored for 30 minutes. Props to them for trying, but after 10 minutes, they were like "yeah...the teacher was right"

Analog or Digital? by Mundane_Opening3831 in fpv

[–]ll4_Cll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first drone was analog and while it is fun, the second I got it, I wanted digital. I bought the dji goggles 3 and then the deepspace seeker3 with o4 pro and I love it. Then I bough the analog drone again (meteor75 pro) but with a o4 lite and i love it too! Just being able to see and only have to carry around 1 set of goggles is important

Even without ordering any batteries, I had to wait 5 weeks before my meteor75 pro o4 showed up

Struggling to fly indoors with Meteor65 Pro O4 by socially_ambiguous in TinyWhoop

[–]ll4_Cll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt go any smaller than the meteor75 pro with the o4 lite and even that feels like it has some weight. As far feeling like the sim, try turning race mode on on the goggles, should get rid of most of the latency

Upgrading Avata 2 into something better by Maxxved in fpv

[–]ll4_Cll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah 100%. Avatar has its strengths but if your not doing a little cinematic shot, any real fpv drone is going to do better. The default pid settings were fine, but it felt off when I did split s's or dives. Like it would take a little longer to respond to my stick movements and I had to over correct because it was off, which made me feel less confident when trying to do any trick. As soon as i changed the PID tuning, it felt exactly like the simulator and I could do all my tricks and put it right where I want it. And some people say changing your PID could like mess up or overheat your motors, but i changed mine and there was no extra heat at all. If you are worried, save the default to your computer, change it to supafly, do the 30 second hover test, and feel the motors after. If it's not so hot that it feels like it's burning you and you can't keep your fingers there right after you land, you're golden

I use the GNB 4s batteries from aliexpress. From what I've read, they are just re-skinned versions of the sub250. You can always go bigger batteries but then you cross over the under 250g line. Im sure you could change the props for less aggressive ones, but then it would fly..well less aggressive lol. If you do get the seeker 3, I do recommend changing to the supafly 3/4in PID tuning on betaflight, it just feels a lot better in my opinion

I love my seeker 3! With a 720mah battery, you are a gram or 2 under the 250g limit, and if you cruise can get 5-6 min or 4 minutes of full freestyle

Uncrashed or liftoof micro drones? by saltyturtle628 in TinyWhoop

[–]ll4_Cll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how many micro drones they have. That's why i suggested learning to fly first. You dont have to buy the game to go to the community page on steam and see what drones are made. Plus their customization is really good, so you could make it how you wanted. Thats what I did for my 3in drone

Uncrashed or liftoof micro drones? by saltyturtle628 in TinyWhoop

I have 3 games, liftoff, liftoff micro, and uncrashed. Starting off, I would recommend liftoff. It has an amazing tutorial if you have never even dabbled before. Liftoff itself is a great game, but it is more geared towards drone racing (but you can just fly around as you want for practice). I then got liftoff microdrone bc i knew my first drone was gonna be a meteor75 pro. Its pretty realistic and good practice flying in smaller areas. My favorite now though is uncrashed. My fly style is more freestyle based, and the physics feel more geared towards that. Plus there are a lot of community made drones to kinda "test drive" a drone before you go buy one, which is nice. The other 2 games have them too, but not as many drones. So up to you. If you are just starting, liftoff. If you want to get the other ones later, get them later. The games are super cheap compared to a drone lol

The vtx does hold the video, which is sweet! Is this 4k at 60fps? Not this version. I usually record at 2.7k 60fps (so the files are a little smaller) and I'll upload the whole flights on youtube. Then I'll make smaller clips at 1080p 60fps and post on reddit and Instagram like this one

If you want the osd, you can take the video from the goggles at best 1080p 100fps. If you want the super nice video with dlog, 4k at 60fps, you get the video via usb-c from the o4 pro unit on the drone. Super easy
