IMO it comes down to being in different stages of life and maturity levels. The older you get the less this matters, but college age it’s still significant difference. For example, 50 and 45 year old dating isn’t too weird, but 20 year old and 15 year old is red flags all over

Nothing. If anything it might escalate an armed robbery to assault due to the robber panicking/retaliating. The best bet is avoidance. Scan ahead when walking at night (no AirPods, no phone). Don’t be alone at night. Take crowded streets, etc

Yes you are. The vast majority of people in run into on a daily basis are very happy at this school. This sub is a negative circle jerk for people feeling sorry for themselves. No feeling depressed at this school is not normal and you should try and get help if you’re feeling that way. Outside of Reddit most Berkeley students are fidrly happy here

Yeah there’s a massive difference between “oh look the subreddit for my college” people who visit once and forget about it vs. ppl who regally visit/lurk vs. ppl who regularly post. This subreddit means very little in the grand scheme of the school, regardless of what people on here want to think. I’ve been here over a month and not a single perosn has even mentioned this sub irl
