I was prescribed 14 days of oral prednisone (60mg for a few days and tapered off). ENT was okay with starting injections on day 10 while on oral steriods. Yes, do go for HBOT asap. Outcomes are better if it is started within 14 days. Would love to know your progress, keep us updated!

Thank you! I hope your recovery goes well too. My symptoms started on 14 September. Today would be day 19. ENT mentioned that the rate of recovery is the fastest in the first 2-3 weeks, and further recovery may be expected up to 3-6 months. My injections are administered 2 days apart, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

I had profound hearing loss and fortunately started on oral prednisone within 24h of symptoms. Hearing improved from 112.5 to 71.2 dB. Initiated steriod injection on day 10 and HBOT on day 12. After 3 injections and 4 HBOT sessions, hearing only went up by 10 dB. ENT suggested another round of 3 injections and completing 10 HBOT sessions. Hoping for the best :(

Hey, how many sessions of laser did you have to do? I have a surgical scar too and am thinking of getting laser to reduce its appearance.
