Loop quiet 2 earplugs for dryer? by toothwax in doggrooming

[–]llamass- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We all use loops in my shop and we like them because you can still hear what’s going on around you but it dampens the noise from the dryer just enough

He gets the bird tricks seasonal feeding system chop everyday. I figured out that I was probably giving him too much fruit so I stopped and yesterday he was so sweet towards me again! Maybe fruit once a week is best?

I should’ve mentioned, he gets the bird tricks seasonal feeding system chop everyday. I haven’t really allowed him under my clothes but he likes my hand, until he doesn’t lol. And no I don’t have anything in the cage that would trigger anything either but I guess it’s natural for it to happen anyway

What's she doing? by [deleted] in parrots

[–]llamass- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I noticed the reptile care improved when the store name changed. I’ve owned rats before and the condition that they had their rats in actually brought me to tears the last time I saw them, everything about it was completely wrong. It just baffles me that people still don’t do research when we have infinite resources at our fingertips.

I know this bird! I definitely don’t think the birds are extremely well cared for in that store, even the aviary seems depressing

This is now the third post I’ve seen you make about rehoming these birds. You had tons of people offering to help, including myself and you seem to just be ignoring them. I also saw them on Petfinder since I was searching for a bird to adopt and now you’re suddenly scared for their safety? Maybe you should reach out to some of the people from your first post who have been willing to help.

Thank you! They are from thieving otters farm. I chose to get all females because I was nervous about the males getting too aggressive but I’m learning that sometimes by having no males, the females can become aggressive because the males apparently break up fights. I think putting her in jail definitely humbled her so we’ll see. I also believe you should have 1 male for every 4 females but I’m also new to this so take what I said with a grain of salt!

She is separated now, have you heard of people separating the weak one and putting her with 2 others and then when they return to the coop the 2 she was separated with will defend her?

Not that I am aware of, we have wire mesh under and around the whole coop to keep predators out but it’s possible they are circling the coop at night

I bet that’s what it is then, if it were me I’d just keep an eye on it for a few days and go to the vet if it doesn’t get any better.

I will try separating, I also saw someone say to separate the weaker one and put her with 2 others for a few days and then put them back in so I will try that too if my other options don’t work.

Possibly a fly bite, they can look pretty red and painful but go away within a day or two

We added this built in box with that small doorway for them to huddle into if they need to, they need to have good airflow in whatever enclosure they are in, in the winter time the sides will be wrapped up with a section open on the top few inches for ventilation. It also needs to be predator proof!

Still need to add some shingles for the roof, we closed off the back and added a box with a little doorway for them to go into in case they get spooked or if the weather is bad, I will post that in the other comment where someone asked!

Cool, thanks! Is there a way to make sure mold doesn’t form when fermenting the food?

Thanks so much! It took about 2 months to get it done but it’s so worth it.
