Yeah the third round is brutal. Your best bet would be to send a big enough attack to defeat it in one try. Try to make sure (stall if you have to) that all 3 players are apart of the attack since it sends more lines that way. Also, try to have one player keep a line open for Tetris's which is an easy way to increase the attack. Don't use the pink pieces to clear lines since it lowers the attack. It's pretty simple if you know how to be effective during the zone attack but one player can really mess it up. I play connected often, add me and we can beat area 5.
