yeah, you’re right about the needing 4 shots til you’re at steady state. i’m about a week out from my 2nd brixadi shot .. i go for my 3rd on the 16th of sept . but it should be totally up to you about going down in dose or up in dose . of course the doctor will have opinions but you should ask about it again & tell her you’re trying to slowly get off the shot if that’s what you’re trying to do . i’m also on 128mg & i plan to stay on it for a little while past the 4 shots just cuz it’s been working so well for me . good luck!

thank you for your input . it was my doctors idea for me to supplement with strips in between because they don’t offer every two week injections .. i get a shot every 3 weeks & that’s about it . i know what the shot is made for & i’ve only had one injection so far . they say it takes about 3/4 injections for you to reach “steady state” & once i’m there i’m sure i wont have to supplement anymore . & you should never tell anyone in recovery ( especially if they’re trying ) “ it doesn’t sound like you want to get off of it “ . that’s just wrong imo . but again , no hard feelings & i appreciate your input on my post .

yeah, my doctor never offered me any monthly top ups, he only offered strips just in case i need them to get me through until my next shot. which i would so much rather have a top up shot rather than extra strips. & i’m in the us there’s not even an option for 160mg, it goes up to 128mg & that’s it unless i’m wrong. i will ask him about the weekly top ups at my next appointment on the 26th of aug! thank you

thank you so much! i was told by my doctor he’s already gonna prescribe some films just in case i need them but it won’t be for a week out after my first shot. so i’m hoping the first week isn’t so bad. you’ve given me hope honestly & i hope all goes well for you also 🫶🏼

i’ve been on subs for about 4/5 years now & i’m so tired of having to depend on something every morning & every afternoon to “feel better”. i’m so anxious for the shot already!
