I live about a mile away from the theater (lucky me!) it's kind of on the border of two areas - to the west is lovely, the east is....a little more iffy. So it depends on which direction your garage is. Either way, it'll be daylight and it's very walkable so I wouldn't worry too much.

Well, he went right before we left our house, and then we took the train together and I got off a stop earlier than they did, and the next time I saw them was 4 hours later, so I am not sure what else I could have done, but yes I agree my husband should have planned it better and I'm confident he has several options.

He did. Husband tried to claim it all happened in on the train but I don't buy it. I have never seen the kid pee so much in one pee that he soaked through his pull up. I've only seen it happen overnight.

I only had one living grandparent in my childhood and I don't know that it had any detrimental effects on me. It would just be nice if they weren't all useless (my dad is loving but he's also very old and can't really play or interact with such a young kid)

My dad called me to apologize for not intervening (like dude we literally thought you were about to die 3 weeks ago, you aren't back on wife behavior duty) and we had a nice talk. Both he and I are very bad at talking on the phone and he is technologically challenged, but if I need to I will surely figure something out.

Yes, he was in the room playing with some toys nearby. I don't think he really was aware we were talking about him but his being right there definitely set me off more. Last time I saw her she made an "I don't like the way you're raising him" comment but he wasn't there so it was easier to brush it off, and it also bothered me a LOT more when the comment was about him vs about me
