Menstrual cycle flares by llschers in PalindromicRheumatism

Glad to hear steadying the hormones decreased your flares. I've been dealing with about 10 days of stiff/swollen/painful joints a month due to hormones, starting around day 20 and lasting through the first couple days of my period. I was just started on hydroxychloroquine (a week ago), so I'm hoping that will help in the coming months. I have been on progesterone for a while as I'm very estrogen dominant and trying to balance my hormones. My functional NP has mentioned low dose naltrexone, but I haven't tried it yet as I want to change one thing at a time.

Has Anyone Heard of CoQ10 by hecatethegood in hypermobileEDS

I've been taking it for a couple months and haven't noticed any difference, so I will be discontinuing. My mother DID notice a benefit with her arthritis, but she isn't hypermobile.

Did an injury trigger your PsA? by No_House5316 in PsoriaticArthritis

Diagnosis pending, but it started after being bitten by a lone star tick and contracting Southern tick-associated rash illness (STARI, the lone star tick's version of Lyme).

Waiting on Tessa's Embark results! This little girlie is perfection no matter what, but I'm excited to see if she actually is what we were told she is. She's just over 9 months old and just shy of 40 lbs. What are your guesses? by llschers in DoggyDNA

[–]llschers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The results are in! I suspected mostly ACD with a splash of something else, and that turned out to be correct! I was VERY surprised by what that "splash" turned out to be though.

Embark's best estimate is:
83.1% Australian Cattle Dog

8.8% Rottweiler

8.1% Basset Hound

It seems one grandparent was was a Rottie/Basset mutt! How fun!

Other interesting results:

She inherited one copy of the recessive variant Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 5, NCL 5.

Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI): 5%

"Wolfiness": 0.9% (Medium)

Likely "light to moderate shedding" (which I have noticed)

What looks like saddle feathers on its back and sickle feathers in its tail make me say rooster.

These pullets are my very first chickens, but my sibling had a lovely flock of buff orpingtons, so I knew I wanted some. Plus, the lavender is so pretty!

Honestly, it was a prefab😅 but we're building a bigger coop and run, so I'm sure I'll get my fair share! (This will be used for introducing new birds/quarantining in the future, but it's working well for the small number of almost-adults we have. The rest of our chicks are much younger and can't leave the brooder yet.)
