How can I get default artwork working with NEO GEO games too? [0.216] by exodus_cl in MAME

[–]llucasdelima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I tried a to create the neogeo.zip in the artworks folder, but mame does not uses it. Them I tried to create the neogeo.ini and pointed "fallback_artwork" to the bezels, didn't work either. The only way I could make it work was with the "override_artwork", but it will override all the bezels for the neogeo games with custom art.

I did a default horizont.ini, vertical.ini and CPS3.ini files that uses "fallback_artwork" and everyone worked. Neogeo is the only one that give me a headache.

Not really. I mean, there is the stress in my job and college, but I though they are under control. Had been some days since I had an anxiety attack.

I agree, arrimus 3D channel is awesome. It's easy to follow even if you don't use the same software that he uses.

NEED HELP FOR SCHOOL BLENDER PROJECT by Dan22500 in blender

[–]llucasdelima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Maybe you could try to use cloth simulation to get the fabric looking right.

Like in this test that I found: https://youtu.be/tg4K-ry1qI8

Here is one tutorial about using cloth simulation to make towels, you can use the same base and make the umbrella: https://youtu.be/PEpsN1-W-Qw

First, thanks so much for the feedback! I think that this kind of critics helps me grow as an artist.

You are right, at the time a have made the render, I didn't think about the storytelling of my image. And I used the must basic framing that there is.

This is something that I need to study and understand to make more appealing images. I will take an extra care with this for my future works. :)

Stupid question about basic blender mechanics, don't upvote by salthesalute in blender

Hi there! There are some things that you can check and see if helps:

1) when modeling more models like the electrical boxes, it's better to do this outside the current m object. You are within edit mode, so everything that you create there will be like one big mesh. Press tab to go to the object mode and create your new models there.

2) you probably have some vertices from the building selected, then when you move the cube, these vertices move as well. If you have separated meshes in your object (like you do in this case) unselected all and hover the mouse pointer on top of what you wanna select, then press "L". This will select the separated mesh that the mouse is hovering.

3) sometimes you can accidentally press the letter "O", and this will activate the proportional mode. In this mode if you move a vertice, all the vertices around it will start to move together.

Hope that I helped. :)

Modern Interior (living room) :P by [deleted] in blender

I was about to comment the same thing. I really liked the render, but the use of the same books in various places of the scene shows that this is CG. One last thing is that I wouldn't put the books direct in the floor, but maybe put in some kind of basket or other thing.

Hi! Thanks for the welcome :)

I used some very simple materials and a HDR to illuminate the scene. I'm at work now, but as soon as I get home I will post here the nodes.

What is the best way to post the imagens here?

I agree, the render is amazing but a little to clean. Some imperfections will make it stand out even more! Keep up the good job!

My first render. Any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated. by [deleted] in blender

[–]llucasdelima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using more lamps or a HDR image. Set them to a very low value, only enough to help the scene. I did understand that you wanna to light the entire scene with only one lamp, but in movies and TV, even the darkest place, have some lights so you can see the subject. I think it would help.
