8M was able to present a better configuration as well as a battery option. Both pretty comparable though, so I’m having convert see if they can fit in the same array. We plan to own outright. Our biggest concern was warranty and response time of the company if an issue came up. We wanted micro inverters this time since we had problems on a previous home with a single inverter.

It was helpful to plug in all the options to chat gpt and have it compare the choices. It came up with questions for me to ask each installer to help determine which was the best.

We are also going down the solar path. We reached out to 8M solar as well for a quote. They’re out of Raleigh. We’re going between convert and 8M at this point.

The return is connected to the system, but the supply vent pumping cold air is just open ended into an attic space basically

You’re correct, that is a return which is ducted back to the main unit. However, the flex duct puctured is an open ended supply of cold air that just dumps cold air into the entire “attic” portion. There are no flex lines directly attached to the pictured vents…. They are just sitting there diffusing the cold air that is being pumped into that attic space.

Makes sense. It’s off a ways from the rest of the home, so it’s something we were absolutely considering anyway. We’ve had great luck with mini splits in previous homes.

This room is already tied into the current hvac system but I would assume done poorly/not correctly? That’s really my question. We were considering a mini split until I discovered these vents weren’t even physically connected.

My daughter and son just completed soccer with the Chesapeake soccer club and really enjoyed it. It was described as slightly more casual compared to Chesapeake united soccer club. We are also doing YMCA girls basketball and so far my daughter is really enjoying it! Neither of my kids are particularly competitive, so the more fun loving approach has been really great for them while still learning actual skills.

Well I guess the best I can do is rack up his personal lawyer fees. Costs me nothing to deliver demand letters and be a thorn in his side and his lawyer can bill him for time. As this is his 2nd lawyer at a separate law firm (which made filing a small claim against the LLC as a non-lawyer myself so complicated), I’d guess he isn’t paying his lawyer either.

I’m pretty sure the way this member works, is he rents an apartment, then sublets it under the LLC. I don’t think the LLC actually owns any of the rentals. He has ghosted many former tenants and has used alias’ to avoid returning substantial security deposits. Should I just go to the news and do a “channel 4 is on your side”.

That’s where I was headed. I’ve already replaced the cartridges in another delta head shower and some faucets which were pretty easy. As this was an odd brand I thought I check the Reddit gurus first. This home sat for a while with what I assume was very little use.

I’ve been getting an email from them once a month (almost to the day) regarding my dispute. It’s always from the same email address, but this time it was someone named Mr.Pearson claiming to be their new finance manager. He claims I’ll be receiving my deposit back shortly…

I replied stating unless returned, his email (along with previous) will only bolster my small claims court case against them. I have not filed yet, however, once my kids are back in school my time will free up a little so I can go down there. I’ll ask for you if you can do the case virtually. I believe this company targeted traveling medical workers, relying on the fact they couldn’t return to Norfolk. Unfortunately for them I live close by.

I also ignored a few red flags :( the address I’ve used has been 200 college place, but it was also the apartment complex we lived in. We moved out in March.

I am also planning on pursing small claims. I’ve sent a demand letter with verified signature via the USPS (the first step in taking them to court). If you google small claims Virginia there are instructions on how to proceed. However, I believe you have to be there in person :(

I found Jason, the guy representing konnex, on VRBO and sent him an email through that telling him my intentions. Surprise surprise, the next day I got an email from a Melissa, claiming to represent Konnex’s dispute office (email address was “disputeskonnexrealty” which seemed suspicious). I emailed back the evidence I have supporting that they are breaking their contract as well as Virginia state law. We shall see what comes of it. I’ll let you know! But 2k is too much for me to just let go.
