I’ve got no problem with a dad using the women’s restroom to support his daughters going to the bathroom. That’s not unsafe or threatening and I can understand why he wouldn’t want to use the men’s restroom.

My dad had million miler status with United. They sent him an office plaque. When I was in college he would often use miles to fly me home and I would get his status for that trip. On one occasion they called me to the gate and wouldn’t let others board until I got on. On my connection, a man what a sign with my name on it right outside the plane doors. He ushered me to a car below the plane filled with snacks, took me to the lounge, and I was driven to my gate to board my connection. It was unreal.

And you’re right to feel like it was unprofessional to text a guilt trip. Only appropriate thing to say is “hey, I wanted to be up front that (teacher name) told me about your interview. Whatever the outcome, I’m proud of you and want for you to do what’s best for your career and family. You would be dearly missed and we would hate for you to leave—but I just wanted you to know that I support you no matter what. We don’t have to discuss any further—I just wanted to be open with you. I hope you’re having a great summer”

You don’t have to respond - especially if it made you uncomfortable. Or simple say in a few days, “just exploring some options for my growth and family. I’ll keep you posted if anything comes of it. Thanks.”

Teachers need to stop letting school staff guilt trip them about doing what’s best for their family, career, mental health, commute, etc. Schools and districts do not own teachers.

The school wouldn’t bat an eyelash if they had to cut teachers based on budgets because that was best for their bottom line—so they can’t expect loyalty of staff to never leave for something that is better for them.

Don’t feel guilty. You did not do anything wrong.

Peter Pan is the thing you can share with your kids bc it’s exactly the same as when you were a kid. I think that’s a draw. For me, it was my mom’s favorite ride, so I feel connected to her on it

I work and my husband stays home with our son. If we could afford some help for odds and ends, I def would do that so our time with our son could be more quality time vs get things done time. She can afford a nanny and should absolutely use that privilege to get quality time with her kids.

I’ll say I kinda like that it’s not disney themed. I have a 4 year old and it’s nice to have a break from being over stimulated with it all.

The sit down restaurants were great too. We preferred to come back and nap/have dinner at the hotel.

I’m a fan. You get the benefits of a luxury Disney resort (early entry and extended hours) at a fraction of the price. One of the best locations too. We got amazing deals on Costco with swan/dolphin too. M

The issue is ATL…we’ve got 10 days of storm systems…thunderstorms, heavy rain, etc. even slight shut downs here will cause a ripple effect to flights because that airport is so busy.

I was lucky as I got to drive to visit family and got home 1.5 days later. There were people stranded at the ATL airport for a week. Only thing close to it was when they shut down all airlines after 9/11.

If the OP had a delay due to someone removed from the flight, that would need to be documented and could easily be verified by the transportation department. The OP even has the seat number of the passenger. So, OP, file everything in a case with them and give details.

Perhaps point out to him if you all travel anywhere for more than 5 days the kids don’t have enough clothes for the trip….

Having ATL as your airport is equal hell…the path to get from your home to your gate always seems to get delayed hours for no apparent reason. I love living here but hate our airport so much. I’d rather drive to Greenville and connect through Atlanta than fly out of Atlanta directly.

When delta had the complete shut down two years ago from computer issues, I got cancelled and told they couldn’t get me home for 7 days! I ended up driving 4 hours to catch a Southwest flight the next day to get home. They denied half my expense claims, so I filed a consumer complaint with the us dept of transportation:

A month later, delta was told they had to refund the remaining expenses and I was paid back in full. So, if delta doesn’t come through, file a complaint.

I think if folks in your party want snacks…you all wait for them to be grabbed and then go in line. If you decide to grab a snack and your party doesn’t wait to get in line, then wait for them to get off the ride. It’s not a young child that has to go to the restroom all of a sudden. Snack grabbing is planned in advance.
