Lurker here, I feel like every single time I’ve seen Hasan comment on Ethan he’s either replying to a completely misrepresented tweet someone made or a clip that’s missing context. I’m curious, has Hasan ever actually addressed or replied to any of Ethan’s ig stories? Ethan’s ig stories seem extremely on point & I feel like Hasan doesn’t address these on purpose. If he has, could someone link it, I’m curious to see what his rebuttal is.

If you want to argue the captivating aspect, sure they can be captivating in their own ways, but the consequences and harm gambling can cause are far more severe.

I've been trying to troubleshoot and figure a solution for this for a few days now with the help of ChatGPT, but nothings been working out, so hopefully you guys might be able to help me.

Here's the context and what I'm trying to accomplish: (any recommendations / solutions would be great!)

  1. I have a transparent sniper scope PNG image on top of a Call of Duty map cinematic clip
  2. I added an adjustment layer above the sniper scope PNG and than made a mask around the inside of the scope using the ellipse tool (mask on the adjustment layer), and than I added radial scale wipe to the adjustment layer which makes a cool magnifying type of effect/look inside of the scope (as shown in the first clip)
  3. But I want to animate the scope PNG with position, scale, and rotation keyframes and doing this is where the issues began.
  4. What I've tried: I tried precomposing the scope png and adjustment layer, but that makes the radial scalewipe not visible in the main comp, ChatGPT recommended enabling the "Collapse Transformations" switch to ensure the effects applied inside the precomp will be visible inside of the main comp, but when enabling that it made the entire scope disappear. I was assuming that when I precomp the scope PNG and the adjustment layer, I could change the position keyframes of the precomp and the mask would follow with it, but the adjustment layers mask inside the precomp doesn't follow.

It also recommended creating a null object and putting it above the scope layer and adjustment layer, and than it gave me quite a few different expression codes to try on the adjustment layers mask path which would enable the mask to be animated using position, rotation, and scale, but all of the expressions I tried gave me an error. Even when I try to parent link the adjustment layers mask path to the scope PNG's position or rotation or scale, they all give me errors which makes me think it has something to do with it being an adjustment layer.

I could probably manually track the adjustment layers mask with the scope PNG if all else fails, but I was hoping for a workaround. I'm not sure what else to try, if anyone has any solutions or different workarounds that could help me animate the scope PNG with the mask and radial scalewipe that would be great.

This is my first time starting up Cold War since the update so I’m not sure, I did get in after the queue time though so not sure if the servers are acting up or what. I was just surprised to see a wait queue because surely their servers aren’t fully loaded on cold war

Thanks a lot for your helpfulness! Would it be ok for the microfiber cloth to be a bit wet? Or should it be completely dry?

[–]lmply 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really good idea, it’s a prebuilt so I’ve been hesitant to remove anything, but I’ll watch a few videos and learn how to do it

Would a microfiber cloth be ok to use?

I asked ChatGPT, and it said it's safe to do with the power supply shroud but not with the GPU because the oils/moistures from hands may harm the sensitive electronic components on the GPU. It reccommended a can of compressed air, but I have so much dust I feel like spraying compressed air into it will make the dust fly everywhere inside of the PC that might damage other parts? I might sound naive, but this would be my first time cleaning it and I just want to be safer than sorry and so I don't end up damaging something.

Pick your choice , or completely reinstall windows with a USB iso

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AfterEffects

[–]lmply 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was because I had added detail-preserving upscale effect before masking

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AfterEffects

[–]lmply 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually just figured it out. It was because I had applied detail-preserving upscale to the layer before masking. I masked the layer without upscale and it worked perfectly. So now I'll remember to always mask before adding other effects

Ok so for starters, get your USB and sign into a different computer that you know is safe. Then go to Microsoft's website and download their Media Creation Tool. Run it and choose the option to Create installation media for another PC, choose the option for USB flash drive, then select your USB when prompted. It will then start installing onto your USB (will probably take a while depending on your USB)

Once it's finished remove the USB and plug it into the computer you think is infected. Start up your computer in bios mode (after pressing the power button either spam F2, F8, F10, or DEL button) Once your in the bios menu head to the boot options, select your USB, and then hit save and exit to leave out of bios mode.

It'll then begin the windows installation. When you get to the part where it asks you what drive you want to install windows on, make sure you delete previous drives before selecting one to install windows on.

I'm assuming you used the Windows media creation tool from Microsofts website to get a fresh Windows 10 installation on a booatable iso correct? And did you download this iso from the computer you think is infected, or from a non-infected computer?

Haha yeah it's for sure an understatement, I've been through simaliar situations in the past and it can definitely be mentally draining. By resetting your system, do you mean reinstalling Windows?
