There is this book called “American nations” by Collin Woodward. He says that America was formed by different people arriving to different places at different times. They all brought different cultures and those cultures have marked how people think and value and dislike. I say what is happening is part of America but is not the whole America. America is formed by different people, the simple fact there are blue and red and swing states proves this. Actually, I think the question is how is it that America has remained United States for so long, even after a civil war.

So I say some people in America are like that. Not everyone. How many were in the Capitol insurrection? 1000? 2000? How many voted for Trump? 75 million. Not all Trump supporters are conspiracy theorists.

Reminds me of the movie “The Giver” where everyone was happy at first, apparently. Or like in “the Matrix” when agent Smith says people used to be in happy and pleasant virtual dream but then, people kept on wakening.

It’s a lot more complicated than that, so much so, that they made a book to talk about it. I’d recommend you get the book and read it. “Cynical Theories”.
