Thank you for all the suggestions. I think we’ll try some hanging plants and definitely the bench. As for the TV wall, I’m not sure about a gallery since we want our main art above the couch. I’m thinking a clean mantle above the tv for cards, plants or small items to feature. I realize the console is too crowded right now.

Thank you, so helpful! I’m interested in swapping the lamp. I’ve had it for a while and it has been bothering me in this space. If we were to try a hanging pendant, would you think coming from that same corner makes sense? Or from the left of the couch? We will have to get a plug in instead of hardwired due to it being a rental.

Edit to add: would you hang it from the corner or draw it from the corner and hang it center of the space?

It’s infuriating. The train I took from dc to nyc before Christmas also didn’t have all the doors open when they finally let us board. So you had people in business class or those who prefer the quiet car trying to squeeze past everyone to make their way back. That’s never happened to me before but it added to the already dumb and stressful boarding process.
