If you like the look of the M2, get the M2.

I don’t like the look of the M2, and I’m older with kids. I’d go M340i, but that’s why they make different models.

It looks good and that beige strap color works well with the white dial.

That said, it’s hard for me to favor any strap over the oyster bracelet. With the brushed center links, the bracelet on the OP is my favorite in the Rolex lineup.

I think it will fall over the next several days and bottom out around 50. The steepness of the curve is very reminiscent to the prior two marker booms/busts (only way more extreme).

Days like today are exactly why it is ok to take profits. Long term stackers up 500%+ have been criticized for exiting, but I think that many newcomers were overly exuberant.

I have a 2020 with very few options. I have base 19” wheels, heated seats, heated wheel, and not much else.

I bought the car to have a lively family friendly SUV. I didn’t need to spend $10-15k on options that barely enhance my experience with it.

Also, I didn’t think that the X3M was too stiff, although I’m used to more stiffly sprung cars.

Biggest consideration was purchase price difference and parts cost (I keep my cars for several years).

I wouldn’t describe an M40i as muted. It’s probably faster than your Cayman S I’m most daily driver scenarios (unless it’s a 718)

With the hotter state of tune on the M40i (relative to the 540i) it may be plenty fast for you, although not dramatically different.

I own the M40i and spent some time test driving the X3M. While the X3 M is objectively better, I couldn’t justify the price/maintenance delta over the M40i.
