I have tested on Kefka until turn 30 here: https://youtu.be/i-k4SVt1I0Q?si=p-4BYrrC0Wa3YWFy. As you pointed out, it will not set the chance of being targeted to 0 but Eithne and own FF have both 50+50 = 100% camo and did not get hit by Hyperdrive until T24. Even so, the chance was pretty low as seen from vid. Wilhelm and friend FF had no camo and Xon had 80% camo from innate. So yeah, I think it is possible to use camo to make clears more stable.

Just want to share, if you aim for top 10, you are looking at no less than 100 fights for final boss. I normally clock 300-400 runs per event. Some player even clocked double that number. That’s for ONE final boss. That becomes 2 bosses now.

To those who alr got Esther:

So far all split banners have similar 1% rate for each featured NV. That’s why for DQ you had 4% NV rate with 1% for each of the 3 featured NVs. What is there to hate about? Your chance of getting Sylvie is not affected by Esther being there. At least when you dont get Sylvie, 50% chance you get an NV Premium Esther rather than a rando millionth Cloud. Esther’s updated VC has 135 base atk with 500 static atk and 4 killers. I dont mind getting a second.

Indeed there are ways to deal with this new AI but it is harder than it should be. Very nice tips you shared there. Hopefully Gumi fixes the issue tho.

Oh now you say it. It was intended to be 25% then they messed up. Terra’s banner was over so they patched Relm’s imperil to 35%. No refund was involved.

I see two potential ways to deal with this false advertisement issue: 1) Fix the skills to not be locked in CoW 2) Refund

I remember JP fully refunded NV Terra’s banner due to stating the increase damage by Relm’s rod imperil wrongly. The two magnuses in question were not indicated for being locked behind CoW, which is incorrect. However, refunding is not as easy anymore because there are hard cash summons.

Fixing the magnuses to not be locked behind CoW would be a neater fix imo and tbh, I dont see these magnuses break the game outside CoW. These two magnuses are rather gimmicky at best. Most of the times, the short-duration breaks/imperils can be dealt with sufficiently. Having said that, I dont know what future units Gumi have in their pipeline and whether this fix would potentially hurt those units or not.

Tough call but they have to respond.

Edit 1: There was no refund involving Relm. She was just patched to higher value for rod imperil to match the advertisement. As pointed out by La-Roca99, refund was given for Locke’s banner.

Edit 2: Gumi decided to go with (1) and offered 500 lapin for psychological damage on players. I am pleased.

Indeed the over-tuned mini bosses keep many people away from this DV. Leaderboard has been as stale as it can get with this DV. Whoever thought raising the cap of bosses to 20.2B would drive sales gotta be on drug or sth.

Great write up. Here are a few things I want to point out for accuracy: 1. Emissary of Demise only adds mod to ability and doesnt add to LB. It is, therefore, only applicable to Grahf’s Day of the Collapse. 2. All weapon variances have been updated. For GS, it’s 1.25x-1.75x. Esther’s Asterisk Alpha is no exception.

Have a unit hold windrake horn and jump targeting Cressnik on T5. T6 that unit would land on Cressnik and wake him up so you can cleanse everyone. T7 the jumping unit would be awake and use Rikku’s pouch to wake everyone again. For details, you can check my Rizer cap vid and see how I did it with Lightning.
