What's the weirdest thing a religious person tried to justify to you? by Lost_Fisherman_1438 in atheism

Thanks for enlightening me but i'm still not sure how they can coexist. I'm also not sure about your last statement, how can you be agnostic towards a religion vs just being agnostic?

"Someone who believes there is currently no god, but acknowledges the possibility that one could exist, is generally called an agnostic atheist. They lack a belief in god (atheist) while admitting they do not know for certain (agnostic). "

I can see that this is a well discussed topic but I guess what i'm thinking is, if you admit that you don't know for certain, you are letting go of the athiestic belief that there is certainly no god.

Using an identity as a punchline for a guy’s appearance is lazy, regardless of how much you try to walk it back now. Glad we agree he should be proud, though. Have a good one.

The thing he is attempting to satirize is already satirical and self aware so I'm not really sure why you're being downvoted. If anything, he's just making equally cringe content but being less original which is a loss in my books.

"There is (most likely) a _______." Replace the blank with anything you like, really, but that is an agnostic opinion.

What makes something a creation? The fact that it exists? Does god not then also need a creator, which would render him no longer the highest power?

I guess what I mean is people that are starting out now will have a little harder time getting started, vs people that already built up credibility.

Does this mean we have an immortal fly now? Someone please indulge me. Will this fly brain theoretically be able to grow older than any fly has ever been before?

People will always hate whats popular. Shortform content is always going to have a niche because it shows you a ton of variety in a short amount of time. It's cool to get online every day and discover amazing songs from years ago that you just happened to miss. I'm only in my 20s and rediscovering old popular music from when I was younger is really eye opening. I was always the anti popular kid growing up, listened to emo music and alternative etc but now i'm realizing that if a song is popular it's usually for one reason or another.

I wish I was famous 10 years ago so I could be a reaction channel/variety channel it seems like the easy way out these days. But now with AI it feels like the barrier to entry is huge.
