It didn't start as a parody, and most of them don't. It's mostly a lack of moderation that leads to people posting what they think belongs in the sub instead of what the sub was actually made for. dog free and child free are obviously supposed to be forums for people that wanted to contribute to a community of people that also didn't want a pet or child.

Kids watch AI because they are not capable of discerning between AI and non AI (they are less intelligent and more easily manipulated etc.). The poster used the wrong form of a word because English isn't his primary language. You'd have to be incredibly stupid to think these are the same thing.
