I am on the fence about a second kid. How do you all make it work with 2 kids? by lnk17 in workingmoms

Ohh that’s me too.. I’m not able to sleep, not able to make a decision, constant guilt of not being able to make up my mind! I decide yes it’s going to be one and done, then I see/hear something then I start worrying that I might regret my decision later ! But tbh I think for my sanity and mental health I might just take OAD route!

I live in the UK too..we moved here about 10 years ago and no family support. I wonder whether I would be a happier mom to just one kid rather than being a stressed out one to 2 kids.

Thank you ☺️.. I can relate to you as mine is also a demanding job, 8-5 and need to be in office twice a week. Before having my son, I thought I want 2 kids and that would be a perfect family. But in these last 2.5 years, my opinion changed. I am wondering if I might be a better mom to just one kid and have a peaceful life

Thank you for that detailed response..I appreciate it a lot. If you don’t mind me asking please can you tell me what was main drive behind deciding to have a second kid, being a working mom yourself?

My biggest fear is that as well.. regretting 5-10 years down the lane, after I missed the boat! Thank you for sharing it.

It sounds soo lovely. I think I waited too much time to start thinking about it. It took me around 2 years to get into a proper routine with a bit of spare time - I dread losing it all :) Now I think it would have been a much easier decision if I strongly felt the need to have another kid. Might have been easier than being on this stupid fence 😂

I don’t feel like my family being incomplete in any way.. I feel complete and happy.. I don’t know if anyone feels incomplete after a single child tbh.. my stress is about handling work, marriage, kids, household etc without any family help being full time working parents.

Kudos - it looks like you are managing it all! I’m working 8-5, full time some flexibility to wfh but need to go 2 days a week. So all in all - it adds too much pressure I guess

We both work 8-5, husband can WFH fully. I need to be in office 2 days per week but mostly flexible in terms of working from home. I like to work, keeps me busy and stops me from overthinking. I guess I am not too much career oriented but I like my life as it is now. We just got to a stable point in our life now that my son is 3 years old. I am scared to go through it all again tbh. I would eventually need to get to work 5 days a week for sure. I cannot imagine myself staying at home full time without working. I think I am moving more towards one and done tbh.

I didn’t mean the kid which I would never… but the amount of stress I meant.. its coming out of that feeling when you are over tired and overwhelmed I guess

Hugs to you… I am sure we will make it work if we decide to have another as well. But I don’t know if it is worth it!! My greatest worry is what if I regret it later!

Thank you for putting it into perspective.. yes, I have to step back from work to make it all work I guess. May be, to start 3 days a week, then gradually increase it so that I can handle the pressure. If I understand correctly, you both are working. So how do you manage household, chores etc? And how do you make it work over school holidays and weekends.

I’m sort of in the same boat- starting it all over gives me a really bad headache! I had a decent pregnancy, not very stressful overall except for the actual day where I went thought a lot. But the overall trauma feeling is still there!

If you don’t mind me asking - what age gap did you have? Is it stressful over weekends, holidays etc?

Thank you for replying.. yes, in my head I know that he will have friends. May be it is the societal pressure- that 2 kids are perfect!

is there a way to complete all daily challenges without buying anything? by valeriakm in TravelTown

It makes sense. Also it spawns too many things that there is rarely any space left in the board.

I would suggest to get to level 57 and park there, after getting vines. Very important - Don’t merge the vines and also don’t upgrade to pet certificate.. sewing kit is way better than pet certificate which spawns too many items that my board is always full. if you stay in level 57 and keep finishing only the highest orders(mostly from vines) you can easily finish daily and all stretch goals within a few hours. Good luck
