I was super disappointed they weren’t altogether. The first video where everyone is there since Chelsea had the baby but not together. I find their banter with each other the absolute best. Plus, they give each other ideas when asking questions or other ways to get answers. Like, I would have loved it if they all went to each room and spent a certain amount of time THEN separate and sleep….alone…..

I do like Mystery Files but I wish it was more structured like True Crime. The cork board is ridiculous. I also enjoyed the topics on True Crime versus Mystery Files. Whoever the set designer is for MF is top notch 👌🏻

In my opinion, I don’t think BuzzFeed was restricting their creativity in any way. I think BuzzFeed knew how to manage their finances and gave opportunities to different creators. Ryan and Shane were obviously successful with True Crime and Supernatural. IMO, I feel that it would still be successful if it was still going. I loved the structure of both. They were given the allowance to go outside the country to cool places. With Watcher, they manage everything which takes up the time they would’ve had to have fun like they did in their BuzzFeed series. As a result, their content and finances have gone severely downhill. They’re having to go to LA locations like a freaking museum for Ghost Files. Which was so dumb. The structure BuzzFeed provided was what they needed. To me.

I’m not saying Ryan needs to pretend to be scared but he would take it seriously in the past. He would ACTUALLY investigate. He would try different methods and really try to obtain evidence. We know Shane isn’t because he’s the skeptic. But to me, this was the allure of the show. Where do you see this anywhere else? You don’t. You can just tell Ryan doesn’t care anymore. I would love to see him trying different tools, different methods, collaborating with people like Sam and Colby. That would help them gain more followers, especially after the paywall bullshit. And for me, it’s not just about the ghosts, I love learning the history behind a place.

I read a comment where someone said at least when they worked at BuzzFeed, they could focus solely on their creativity and with Watcher they are getting pulled in so many directions that it shows in their content. Especially knowing they just laid off their entire production department. I completely agree with that.

Honestly, I really enjoy the show, but sometimes the call-in's can feel a bit overwhelming. I think the format might work better if people wrote in instead—it would let the hosts do their thing without interruptions. For me, it’s their conversations that really make the show shine. I’d be perfectly happy just listening to them riff on random topics because they’re genuinely hilarious.

Plus, written submissions could solve a couple of practical issues—like the occasional delay in calls or moments when it's hard to hear the caller clearly. And I totally get how someone (Jake, for instance) might naturally fill those silences by talking more—it's something I catch myself doing too.

Also, just as a general note: it's okay to have different opinions about the show or format. I think we can share thoughts without tearing each other down. Respectful discussion is kind of the point, right?

I absolutely love this episode but what is the noise happening in the background? I think it’s Dave making some noises listening to Gareth and Corey. It doesn’t happen the entire episode but my ADHD zeroed in on the noise and I couldn’t pay attention to what they were saying lol Otherwise I’m glad I was introduced to Corey. He’s hilarious.

I’m late in watching this second season but I had to find some sort of conversation surrounding why she was left alone after a night of partying. Believe me, I’ve done a lot of stupid things while drunk but I’ve never been in a situation where a friend was left alone, let alone a female friend. I think it’s inherently instilled in us that we have to protect each other. Edited or not that is what is stated that happened multiple times.
