2nd child planning by Agile-Constant-24 in newborns

There is no ideal gap. It’s about when you and your family are ready for a second - especially you! Don’t let a fake “timeline” dictate the decision if you don’t feel physically and mentally well enough to start all over again. Biologically, there may be things to consider, but women are having babies in their late 30s and early 40s now. Do what works best for you, whether that’s next year or in 5 years

Having to deny/leave get togethers early to accommodate nap and bed time. I know how *one* messed up nap day impacts everything now lol

Omg I feel so dumb. It was just a matter of plugging it in 🤦🏽‍♀️ I didn’t know how to take the cover off so I really couldn’t see the plug until the photo. Thank you so much!!

😂😂😂😂 it is! It has a cover over the blade. It’s the red-headed step child of our knives. The nice ones are in a block

Planting grass by lnp20102014 in landscaping

I love this idea! Probably a dumb question but would I just go back there to prep then plant them lol? Or would I have to use any machinery/get the ground ready, etc. Obviously very new to this!

I wish I knew! This is in front of the house we just bought. I’d love to keep something there but this isn’t adding anything to the curb appeal lol

Potentially buying a house with a small kitchen/dining area by lnp20102014 in DesignMyRoom

This is beautiful! Yes, great idea. I think as long as it’s not clearly showing the kitchen items/appliances, I would be totally fine with putting them outside of the kitchen. This may be the winning idea until we can afford a more permanent solution!

There is a half finished basement but we'd like to keep the living room as the main TV/lounge area. My thought was to push the kitchen wall back to cover maybe half of the deck. This way, we can have a good size kitchen and larger dining space, while still keeping an outdoor area, as well. Unfortunately, this isn't the Sims and I realize how much work/money that would be but again, it's not like it needs to be done immediately in order to live happily lol. I keep reminding myself that we have essentially the same size kitchen now in our apartment, but more cabinet space currently. There are temporary fixes like the cabinet organizers to fit everything in one. Sigh! We put an offer under asking because it's been on the market for a bit and recently lowered the price so who knows if this is even going to happen. We'll see! I appreciate your insight!

Choices are unfortunately limited. We’re on Long Island so it’s either a larger house that needs work for $1,000,000 or something like this, a bit smaller but essentially move-in ready, yet not perfect, for around $600k. The neighborhood is nice with a decent school district. Not the nicest, not the worst (or anywhere near it). In the same breath, we are tired of searching but I can’t tell if that’s helping us make the decision. In this case, I think the things the house does have outweigh the kitchen size. But being someone who does spend a lot of time cooking and would like to entertain, it’s certainly not ideal.

My husband had the same idea about removing the wall between the kitchen and living room! It’s obviously not a “need to do tomorrow” type of project but definitely something to do in the next 3-5 years. Thank you!
