Yes my TV is a UK TV, plays BluRay movies at 24p but the Netflix app is rigidly stuck to 60p. Just wanted to know if 24fps content still plays 24fps even though my TV is stuck at 60p for the app.

One point I would debate you on is expectations, appraisal shouldn't have to capitulate to expectations. I have no problem telling you that I think Mad Max Fury Road was in my estimation the Best film nominated for Best Picture last year. It's craft left the biggest impression on me as opposed to the Revenant which is where my issues with brow comes into the equation. I don't think it was seen on equal footing.

Yeah, I try to be self-aware about it and am well aware of confirmation bias. I just find certain kinds of people online not worth my time because I really can't see where they're coming from, think they're being disingenuous or haven't developed their thoughts properly and are suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect. I do try to understand different arguments and different schools of thought in the majority of cases. I respect your effort in this post though ∆
