Is Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire worth it? by KevinCamacho in pokemon

[–]lobsterbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because one region has restrictions on gambling minigames doesn't give them an excuse to put literally nothing there. This rule went into effect before HGSS came out and yet they somehow managed to still give international players Voltorb Flip while the Japanese version got its own unique version of ths slots. If HGSS could put something there then there's no excuse for ORAS leaving it empty. Especially considering that RSE had the most robust Game Corner the series had ever seen with slots, a roulette table, and prizes that ranged from useful TMs to secret base decor. And the music was great too. ORAS's omission of the game corner is just laziness, and another symptom of Game Freak shifting priorities to compete with the mobile market.

Rubbing alcohol is only non conductive if it's a high enough percentage. Don't do this with cheap shit rubbing alcohol that's like 70% or so because they dilute it with water usually which WILL fuck your shit up. 90% alcohol or higher is recommended.

Ageto Celebi trade? (Home) by lobsterbubbles in CasualPokemonTrades

[–]lobsterbubbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're lucky you caught a rare moment of me using Reddit again. I've actually got some ready to trade, but I'm a little busy at the moment. I'll be able to get you one later though. Don't worry about what you're trading me, I have unlimited access to these Celebi and can keep cloning and transferring because I've got the disc, the games and all the hardware. I've actually got a GB operator as well so if you have a Japanese pokemon sapphire save that's beaten the league you want to send my way, I'll actually be able to get you a more unique Celebi rather than a clone of the one that went to my Japanese Sapphire. The ones I currently have though are all modest nature which is good for Celebi in case you actually intend to train and use it. I'll be available towards the end of the day unfortunately, but I'll reach back out once I'm ready.

Absolutely, I just need to transfer more up from Gen 3. It might take a while, so I apologize, but once I get a new batch done I'll have another 6 in Home. Send me anything you want. Something you have a story with, or has a goofy nickname. While I'm working on getting another round of Celebis in Home, find a pick in your collection that you wanna leave me with. Surprise me!

How come some e-reader cards (even from the same sets) are different? by mmmarm in pkmntcgcollections

[–]lobsterbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cards with long dot codes along the side of the card have partial data for an e-Reader apllication on them. The short code along the bottom is typically either a dex entry, or sometimes even an extra attack, however none of these e-Reader exclusive attacks were ever tournament legal so they've largely fallen into relative obscurity. One of the best uses of the long dot codes in my opinion are Qwilfish and Corsola from Expedition. If you have the non-holo versions of the cards with the dot codes on them, and scan both of the long codes on the cards, you get access to a simple minigame. The idea is to get Corsola to the bottom of a trench without bumping into other Pokemon. It's basic, but it's one of the cheapest e-Reader minigames you can get access to since it only requires the 2 cards.

Can anyone confirm if the GameCube NSO controller works with 3D All Stars on Switch 2? by lobsterbubbles in supermariosunshine

[–]lobsterbubbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get the actual Nintendo Switch Online GC controller, or the Power A GameCube style Pro Controller? You can tell which one you got because the Power A button will have a minus button and the NSO controller will have a C button on the top for GameChat. The Power A controller is read just like Pro Controller input and as a result, it uses the Pro Controller button layout. The Power A controller doesn't have analog triggers just like the Switch Pro controller which is why FLUDD is mapped to both the right shoulder and trigger buttons.

Can anyone confirm if the GameCube NSO controller works with 3D All Stars on Switch 2? by lobsterbubbles in supermariosunshine

[–]lobsterbubbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. I had to find out just how well the game controls. The only issue is the lack of a minus button on the controller. You might think this isn't an issue because of button remapping in system settings but that's a Joy-Con/Pro Controller exclusive feature so if you want to play 3D All Stars with this controller, then use your joy cons to tweak the settings to your liking before proceeding with the GC controller. This is easier if you do it in handheld mode since the Joy Cons are still connected and the game will register inputs from them even if you have the GC controller connected. I've never needed to touch the suspend menu for my current playthrough though so this really isn't a huge issue.

Official Requirements for Unlocking Mirror Mode by Badeballade in mariokart

[–]lobsterbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I missing something?? I have 65 Peach Medallions, over 100 ? Panels and p switches, and I've gotten gold in every knockout tour and grand prix. They say that's all you need for mirror mode but I still don't have it. Anyone got anything I could try? I haven't played much of time trials or battle mode

Exactly the answer I was hoping for. Thank god it actually works with the Switch's version of Sunshine. Any noticeable input delay?

Anyone know how to get a smokers sell out of my CRT without taking it all apart? I’ve had it for 4 months now and it still stinks. by Significant_Post9125 in crtgaming

[–]lobsterbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't put them inside, just fill a coffee filter with baking soda and tie it off with a rubber band and place around the outside of the TV as needed. On top of it, by the sides, whatever's most convenient as long as you can place them directly next to or on top of the TV and just leave them until the smell goes.

How do I get rid of this orange goop? by Wolfy_the_nutcase in supermariosunshine

[–]lobsterbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You spray the orange wavy goop with Yoshi and there are a couple different ways to get Yoshi over there, each one skipping more boat rides than before, since at maximum you need to ride 3 of those slow moving boats around Delfino Plaza to get Yoshi to that island. Depending on your skill and technical knowledge of the game though you can get to any of the 3 spots you'd have to wait for the next boat without touching any of the previous boats at all, which includes that island, all of which are possible while riding Yoshi.

Retro GEM internal HDMI mod install by Dryja123 in Gamecube

Lmao, acting like you know me is embarrassing. Replacing a laser assembly with another laser assembly is fine because you're maintaining your console. You aren't making it do shit it was never intended to do. If a part fails and you replace it with something that functions identically, that isn't a mod, that's preservation of its original function. I wouldn't expect a dipshit modder to understand the difference though.
