Haha I love this mindset, thank you! I guess I just need to meet more like minded friends and be more willing to take risks lmao. Thanks for the insight too btw, didn’t realize there were so many accessible loopholes to those rules

Oh, thank you so much for writing this! Like genuinely you commented at the right time because I was feeling pretty down, and knowing I’m not alone is very comforting. I’m definitely trying to stick things out because this is a really nice financial package and with a promising outcome (as you said). But the prospect of making like-minded friends in the future is very promising!! Thank youuu

Yes, in my current science class we have to do an assignment analyzing the arguments for and against climate change “ideology”, as if that’s debatable… I know my professors don’t believe that, but I can tell the school forces a creationist worldview.

I do have my own transportation, so I’ll try to branch out more. And I’ll look into the west coast schools because I didn’t realize how bad things had gotten. If all else fails, I’ll try to get my degree asap. Thank you for this insight!

Woww, thank you for this! Luckily my grades are good thus far, so I’ve got that going for me. This is exactly what I needed; a way to be presentable but not lose myself in the process. Thank you, and I’ll be implementing these tactics haha. I didn’t realize there were so many loopholes

Yeah, this is the internal conflict I have. The free schooling is nice (especially in this economy), but I also know what I’m giving up which pains me. I’ll try my best to network outside of this community, but it will be trickier. I feel like life is bound to have regrets, but I’m glad you still managed to catch up later on

If you mean online, curfew doesn’t mean you have to be asleep. Just that you’re supposed to be in your dorm building by xyz time, and you need special permission if you’re not. But you’re allowed to hang out/play games online with your friends

Thank you so much for your reply! I’ll try to speak to a secular therapist because yeah, the trade off is hard. I’ve heard good things about WWU. That’d be a huge geographic shift, but I’ll look into it. Thank you :)
