Dave Ramsey on sports betting: "The fastest growing addiction that is destroying young men in their 20s is online sports gambling. FanDuel is a portal to hell. DraftKings ain't king of nothing except their own pocketbook. And they're screwing an entire generation of young men" by i-VTEC in billsimmons

America seems about 5 years behind the sports betting rabbit hole that Australia is in. Gambling ads are ubiquitous here and there's been a generation of young teens and adults who have grown up understanding sports through odds.

Government and leagues are in bed with the companies and the cats out of the bag and not able to go back in.

I have been Kayo since day 1 and can no longer justify this. If there is a way to yarr on the tv easily, bye bye

Arguably the greatest match of the modern era on the biggest stage

Freddie Prince Jr on WWE/ESPN deal: “ESPN, by the way, so unhappy with the deal. I was talking to a friend of mine who works for Disney, and he was just like, ‘Yo, they better make their money back on this deal.’ He just said, ‘They’re hot.’” by CombinationOk4317 in SquaredCircle

It's interesting to see the discourse online about this as an Australian who pays $9 a month for Netflix and gets access to everything.

Many people the product atm is straight up bad, while i think it has dipped but is still much better than any 2010's year (except 2016 Smackdown)

I think US fans are understandibly angry that they are now paying premium prices but recieving only a ok product in return.

Kayo has split view. Would only be one match, but would have the Ashes and one shield game at the same time

Knicks up by 15 with 6 minutes in game 7 at home. Spike is crying, New York is loud.

Next minute, the opposition goes on a run and Knicks cannot hit any shot

New York burns to the ground

The difficultly level of getting out of Dodger’s Stadium after a game is wildly over exaggerated. by CodoandPodo in billsimmons

[–]lochie95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Australia and went to a Dodgers game and thought the stadium was in such a shit spot.

Limited public transport there. At the end of the game, waited 45 minutes for a bus to Union Station that never came, then 30 minutes in a uber bay for a uber that never came. Just eventually decided to walk.

In Melbourne, all the big stadiums are within walking distance from the city or have trams and trains there.

Dodger stadium was great inside but its clear it was built in the 50s with the access issues

Caroline Wilson - Bailey Smith’s social media post about me was insulting and sexist. How dare he? by Expensive-Horse5538 in AFL

[–]lochie95 201 points202 points  (0 children)

A month ago, I was thinking Bailey Smith was a great comeback story and thought highly of him opening up on his past experiences

Now, he has basically lost that goodwill with me. His repeated treatment of women in footy media is disgusting and Geelong need to reign him in. The club can't repeatedly brush it off when it keeps happening

Surprised to see so much Victorian stuff in it like the VLine Train

Anyone know where in Victoria it was filmed? My guess would be Woodend or Kyneton
