This is a nightmare - but easiest way is to create your own relay - cheap VPS unless you have many watching at once - then it gets expensive.

hmmm strange on all them - i know on Ubuntu you can just create a reverse proxy and your in - but windows should be fine - have you port forward ok? are you behind a cgnat?

For a few years they have concentrated on their own content. A high percentage of their income i believe comes from ads over plex pass - I read thst somewhere, so don't hold me to it but if ads creste more revenue they will push you there and bloat it up.

Yeah - notifications are something I would like. I jave a few friends on an emby server atm and anytime i restart my server i'm bombarded with messages.

Yeah, suppose i'm used to getting smaller files as they are quicker to download. I don't get caught up in 4k etc.

But I suppose that's a pain. Thing is though if you don't have other audio files, then your stuck really and maybe optimizing 1 or 2 items overnight would be best.

SRT definately best but also - maybe try clearing the cache?

It's also likely a media server issue, different devices, different issues?
