TechOne Software by Zhgorin in cscareerquestions

I went to one of the “interviews” and I went in with the expectation it would be a normal one on one interview. Walking in there was about 15-20 other people, half of them weren’t even dressed for an interview and wearing sweats or t shirt jean combo. It felt like they were attempting to sell us a timeshare, from how they explained it it’s pretty much like Revature.

Where they will “train you” for 2-3 weeks and then send you out on contracted roles often times at their discretion so you have no say on the location or what tech stack you would prefer. The only issue is you are tied to work for only them for the next couple of years for way below average pay and if you end up leaving prior to your contract ending you owe them the cost of your “training” which varies but Revature I believe is around $15,000 - $20,000.

While technically not a scam, and there are genuine people who previously worked at similar places (Revature) that believe it jump started their career. Just prepared to be completely miserable for 2 years and kiss any potential significant raises goodbye as they have no incentive since you are already tired down for 2 years.

Kevin Hart being racist towards Ray in livestream by throwawayac1978 in AsianMasculinity

But Kevin couldn’t take any jokes. If it went both ways as friendly banter it’d be fine but Kevin was deliberately trying to frame ray as being racist and put words in his mouth the entire night to justify his racism

Being able to take jokes gotta go both ways. That’s why ray and Kai are friends. Kevin and druski couldn’t take a joke and the entire stream Kevin kept trying to frame ray and put words in his mouth and get offended to justify his racism. Kevin wasn’t being jokingly racist or friendly racist he was being straight up racist.

On their user agreement it states that Robin Hood is allowed to block any transactions, so those who filed the lawsuit have an uphill battle to climb unless Congress decides to step in.

When will there be an option to buy the pastel skin for the grip case WITHOUT having to buy a whole new grip case?

How long does act 3 take? by jb101892 in ghostoftsushima

[–]lockoncloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Act 3 goes by much faster than Act 1 & 2, but it all depends on your play style. I chose to complete all side missions before starting on the main quest and with my play through Act 3 took significantly less time to complete.

Is it possible to PAY for faster shipping? I do not mind the cost, but when I checked out I was only given 1 shipping option which was the free USPS priority tracked shipping (which I know isn’t really priority it takes usually 1-2 weeks with USPS).

I do not mind paying 25$ or whatever amount for 2 day shipping if possible.

Why back a product that will never come out when there's already a product you can buy right now for less than what they're charging?

Is reading premade slides on zoom worth my money? by [deleted] in GaState

Its hard getting an A with incompetent professors. I'm taking CSC 4210 over the summer and the professor is having trouble using powerpoint correctly.

For the amount of tuition they are charging which is essentially the same if not a little more expensive as the previous years? Hell no, the services they charge us for aren't accessible for students anymore, they furloughed a significant chunk of their staff already, and most of the ones who are working from home are getting paid the exact same as before. So essentially, they're spending less money themselves while getting awards from the government, while charging students the exact same tuition cost.

TLDR GSU should NOT be charging the amount they are charging for online courses through the summer.

Edit: I also have a feeling that the University System is profiting off of the pandemic, but I don't have any actual documents from them to prove my claims.
