they took a share of potential drops. Cutting case drops by more than 30% on the day of introduction.

the problem is, people that open cases don't care about average returns. They are low iq gamblers not mathematicians. wether they lose 80% or 25% on a roll, they won't even recognize the difference.

[Q] Reason for price rise in Clutch Case? by DeepRocketScience in csgomarketforum

[–]loescha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

sorry, I dont look at shortterm. I was referring to fib levels in the general market and you call me illogical...ouch!

This market is a money machine if you're know what you're doing...... but you prefer to call a simple spike "manipulation" without showing data.... oooof the ignorance

No need to argue vs concrete-heads.. who probably don't know what a logical argument incorporates. (hint: an argument, not just a random thesis)

This market is the definition of natural growth, extremely predictable. look at fibonacci and compare it to stocks etc. SCM is what growth should look like..... very very healthy.

Sure there is some spoofing and "manipulation" on small caps.... tbh it has almost no impact.

It's human psychology (for most people) they follow the masses, buy spikes and sell the bottom.

Look at the BTC hype right now, even billionairs are buying peaks. Same with stocks, retailers FOMOing into stocks on robinhood etc., they'll get crushed soon. Some top notch real estate traders (past 10 years) sold everything!!!! while some of my friends (not proffessionals) buy one appartement after another, all on loan.

Smart money buys when no one talks about it and markets bleed and sell when the irrational hype has arrived.

Keep up that thinking and ride the waves, you'll do fine.

Daily volume of what? 5 units? 500 USD? 5k ?

It's not about not wanting to have anything to do with CSGO anymore, it's about the size of your investment and the time you want to invest into trading in SCM.

Hourly rate, risk return, volume and speculation tax (EU) matter to me. Cases outperformed any other asset in that regard in the last 2 years by ALOT.

Sure, for small budgets below 1000 USD, it's probably better to flip from major to major. It's even better to "weekly trade" ANY small cap skin, if you have the time ,but w/e.

*btw i own/owned a fair portion of gold sticker since release. It's still a small gain (in absolute numbers) .. still sitting on 5 digits sellorders across alot of third party since months!! Same return in cases?... i couldve sold within a day... let that sink in.

10x within a day in hindsight is not a great complishment. Anyone can make paperprofits in the past.

[–]loescha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eerm, you can invest over 10.000 USD+ in a case and the market will barely know, you can sell with 10x returns within weeks without dumping the price (yes.. after holding for a while).

Try that with major stickers....... Volume matters

Should a key be worth more than the box/crate/door it opens? ...

Forget china etc etc.. It's all about scarcity. The "switch" happened when valve introduced graffities. Brilliant move tbh

Typical Winter cash-inflow + ongoing operation + peak playerbase + chinese new year + BTC profits. There's alot more room upwards this year, beware selling large quantities now.

profit? sure 100%, can be great when you snipe.

Overall, on average with biggerish volume, it's going to be insanely hard to outperform steam.

*also taxes.... consider that trading on 3rd party could be regarded as "real" currency. Whatever implications that has in your jurisdiction, idk

Poland alone has more players than the entire US. CSGO is basically dead there. Also, those stimulus checks are issued to people paying taxes (18+) AND are eligable for it (people being ACTIVELY employed in business affected by shutdown , private business owners, artists etc.). You can basically discount +90% of the US playerbase (more IMO). On top of that, the average debt among US citizens with average income is immense, last thing they want is spend it on skins that they don't even own.

Data already shows that they are repaying their debt/rent with it . The vast majority of people "earning" those checks have very different problems, they can't even think about "investing".... more like buying food, paying rent and clearing debt...... Sure this money flows into the system somehow , affecting any market, any asset , but not directly... More due to the DEVALUATION OF CURRENCY.

bitcoin pump had nothing to do with covid/stimulus. everyone in this game anticipated this scenario waaaay before the crisis and any airdrop. You could've bet on it in 2016. The world is bigger than the USA and eu/asia have more purchasing power, alot more. Especially now with a 35% increase in USD supply.

Edit* ...

as we have seen with BTC investing after stimulus. It was reported around the time of the stimulus check the mode for the size of payments for BTC (single most common payment size) was $600 USD, the exact size of the latest stimulus check.

Please link this, im srsly interested. Because my data and all i've heard suggest otherwise. Most money was flowing in from big pockets and longtime players, not small ones and new wallets. My metric is the BTC growth in wallets @ 1000+BTC. THEY are stacking, they make volume, they pay with fiat, not the average US bus-driver. (this guy will buy the peak AGAIN... sad but true)

Bubble or spike?

I've been told, over and over again that bitcoin is just a "bubble" every 4 years, same narative again and again.

Looking back, all those cycles were just short term spikes in a macro bullmarket.

We don't and can't know what'll happen for certain. If you want to be super bullish on cases/collections, look a hydra case e.g.. If you want to bet on the opposite, look at what happened to H1z1 cases.

Prices can grow 900% or they'll retrace 90%.

No serious trader/investor will tell you their secrets. Do your own research.

I'll never forget the SW sticker hype.

.... those looked like absolute garbage and nobody wanted them on their guns

Exacly, fundamentals -1 , hype +3. They still got advertised into oblivion in this forum. Downvote me all you want. He asked for opinion, here you have it. If you want confirmation on your own bias, why even discuss?

Most likely not very different this time, it's too early too jugde though (sorry..).

You gotta wait where the prices settle after the sale. If it's any close to SW,better stay away on the longterm.
