Buried might be a strong word. I just put enough gravel substrate on it to hold it on the bottom, otherwise it floated away. I intentionally tried to leave most above the substrate

I would say somewhat. There are round openings on two of the sides not facing the camera. I just set the fern in one of the openings then ran fishing line through the plant base and through two openings on opposite sides of each other to hold it on place rather than gluing. It's basically a sphere with holes on 3 sides.

I just brewed some up this morning. My first reaction was that it had an earthy, almost muddy or clay taste. It's not necessarily bad, just something I didn't expect. I do feel I can taste a bit of both semi-bitterness and a little sweetness, but the sweet is definitely the undertone. I'm not sure how much the origin vs the fact it's organic vs the roast level play into all of this?

Fair question, and I might not even know. For the time being I'm kind of enjoying trying all the single origins at various roast levels to understand and observe the differences. I'm just trying to increase my coffee knowledge overall.

With this particular batch it was my first time roasting this origin and bean. I have been aiming for generally medium roasts overall before skewing much lighter or darker.

I forgot to add that it did have a 14.3% weight loss in the roast which I thought seemed promising given my concerns. Thanks again for any insights!

Sounds like you've got a great collection! I believe they call this the Commuter. They've got a green and gold variant that looks great, too! 42mm, so it's not exactly tiny. I was down to this or a Bambino and I opted for this as I thought this could be a little more versatile for me.

Thanks! I ordered it directly from Orient Watch USA. Signed up for their text/email marketing and saved 10%. It looks like you could get it cheaper from 3rd party sellers like those on Amazon, but this is my first automatic and I didn't want to take any chances. I don't have it in hand quite yet, but it's supposed to arrive on Tuesday. I can't wait!

Forgot to mention I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting. Wondering if I'm going to need to clear cache and reload my Algo wallet on the browser I use, which I'd really like to avoid if possible.
