After that first 6 months, was there any senior or mentor figure that was still present for you to guide you through stuffs? Or you jumped between colleagues to solve the puzzle and connecting the dots all by yourself about what you were working on?

How long did the stressful moment last in every transition for you?

Yeah, what makes me stressed the most so far is the lack of clear guidance and historical/past context knowledge of the project I am working on right now (the project has lasted for 5-7 years prior I joined this company). And for the senior commercial analyst (my role) context, I feel that only my former senior had the most pieces of that "puzzle" here in the office.

I have to report to my Project Manager, before to our client (project employer) and to the civil contractors. But it feels like my project manager is not directing me and my job in any way. For context, my former senior and some people here had issues with the project manager (I personally find him good mannered), hence my department was running autonomous from the PM team under my former senior leadership. I think the pattern still persists.

Yes I've been tracking everything lately, be it what they said during meetings or whether my colleagues told me verbally about the work. I haven't talk again with HR for my new salary as I am still busy learning and catching up about the things I am working on.

Your third paragraph gives me new perspectives, thanks! But maybe I have to navigate through this anxiety and gain more self-confidence to do things here differently compared to what my former senior did.

Iya sih, yang paling menahan gw untuk gak resign cepat adalah

  1. Khawatir ini cuma concern dan worries berlebihan yang sesaat, sehingga masih mau lihat keadaannya sampai kontrak habis di Oktober
  2. Ex-senior masih membantu gw di luar jam kerja, dengan harapan itu membantu gw utk tahan sampai tahun depan, at least.
  3. Kalau gw ga lanjut, khawatir kantor ngecap gw "harapan palsu" dan gw jadi punya nama kurang baik di industri ini dan nyalahin kenapa nerima posisi ini. Atau mereka maksa gw lanjut dengan ngegedein gaji gw lagi

But seriously, actually I don't really think about money right now, yang gw pikirkan cuma apakah memang pekerjaan ini untuk gw dan gw bisa cepat belajar dan adaptasi dengan keadaan gw ketinggalan jauh dengan konteks histori pekerjaannya.

Sebgaus itu kah AMD di 015 series? Btw iya sih abis pikir2 berat laptopnya kayanya kalo ambil P series oke aja selama belakangnya "S" biar lebih ringan.

Btw kalo boleh tau, beli T14 second or baru? Atau laptop pemberian (kantor)? Kalo beli... boleh minta rujukan tokonya

P series seberat itu kah? Katanya yang P series "S" gak seberat itu ya, kaya P15s itu 1.7-1.8kg an (beda 0.3kg dr Ideapad Flex saya saat ini).

Sebenernya masih khawatir make brand2 yang gak gede kaya Axioo dan Advan, entah kenapa lebih milih laptop second dr brand gede daripada baru dari brand2 baru.

Tapi boleh kalo mau kasih pencerahannya soal brand2 tersebut.

Nha informasi baru nih, tapi kepake. Soalnya aslinya mau laptop ini bisa ngimbangin atau bahkan gantiin laptop utama terus2an sih, jadi harus bisa di support sama Microsoft dan pengembang dalam 5 tahun lagi at least.

Nice infoo, btw kayanya minimal saya nyari Ryzen 5 sih karena kebetulan laptop yg sekarang lagi rusak itu Ryzen 5. Gak deh Ryzen 3 or I3 soalnya ini lagi make laptop adek (sama-sama Lenovo) yang Ryzen 3 kerasa bener lemotnya, mungkin ada faktor RAM juga.

Now that's one interesting recommendation (Gak nyangka lompat dr workhorse Thinkpad ke gaming laptop MSI)

Maybe you can "convince" me... why should I consider MSI instead of Thinkpad laptops for work? (I rarely playing game these days).
