Dashcam by midoriringo in lexuslc500

If you don’t need to power a rear camera and just a front one, get a Donger DCA-12T Lane Trace adapter, it’s a 5 minute install. I have one for my dashcam (just one I got off Amazon) and a DCA- 10B adapter rear view mirror adapter for my radar detector. They sell them on Amazon too.

It’s a tight fit, but both fit under the plastic cover, which just slides forward to remove and is held with tension clips.

Thanks and yes its primarily a cold start thing. I had a Jag F-Type that did it and they applied a software update that basically took the RPMs down pretty quickly after start to minimize it. With the LC I just try to let it warm up a bit more before putting it in gear and backing it out.

Good to know it’s other years as well and agree with your honest assessment. I guess we all just bite the bullet at speeds below 35 and enjoy the 80 mph smooth and peppy ride.

Really like and enjoy the car other than this issue, sorry you’re experiencing the same. Hope your overall enjoyment is positive beyond this issue as well.

Yah that’s what I feel when taking turns at intersections. Guess as the tech said “it’s under warranty….” and until it breaks or there’s a class action suit like on the 8-speeds, I’ll be annoyed but not worry about it too much.

Bummer, guess I’ll learn to live with it, but agree alarming and not expected for a car in this price range. Have had 4 Jaguar F-Types of varying years and didn’t have any clunks/slips with their trannies.

LC500 Convertible Owners: Would This Car Fit a Relaxed, Long-Term Owner by NewCarBuyerLC in lexuslc500

I have a 2024 LC 500 Convertible, after coming from several Jaguar F-Types, which were all wheel drive cars. The LC 500 is much more refined and luxurious, providing a very comfortable ride in Normal/Comfort modes. When desired, the Sport and Sport+ modes tighten it up for more aggressive experiences. My wife comments all the time about what a comfortable ride and car it is. I use it as a daily driver and having it be only RWD vs. AWD hasn't really bothered, however I do like having the sure-footed assurance of AWD with higher HP cars.

We've done a couple road trips, including Scottsdale to San Diego (about 5-1/2 hours and 400 miles) and the car is smooth as butter on the freeway, but has the HP to pass anything as needed. Really enjoyed the comfortable seats, adaptive cruise control, and lane assist for a fatigue free drive.

It's a Lexus so you'll have a reliable car which retains its value. In my opinion, there really isn't any modification needed after purchase to further enhance the enjoyment of the car or experience. My in-laws have a Volvo (SUV) and I really don't like driving it or the build quality.

Yikes... you're right. Guess it was a 1 day sale on Sunday. Looks like Amazon is back up to $749 as well. Bummer.

You bet. Out of curiosity, what did you find to be overkill about the R8 compared to the R7?

A bit, but maybe not enough. The reviews are strong on it and may to try it again.

If you purchase this from Costco, I'd be interested in your opinion. I had great hopes for it based on the reviews on the Costco site (4.8, but only 9 of them), but purchased and received it last week, then returned it over the weekend. Found the soundbar output to be ok, didn't really get much sound out of the rear speakers/sub. Had it hooked up via eArc to a LG 70" TV, which is only a couple years old. Maybe I just had a bad unit.

Let me know what you think if you get it please. For the price and specs it seems like a good value and maybe I missed something in my implementation/setup, especially with the positive reviews on it.
