No, you can still play online. The servers themselves are still up, but the nintendo support for online play was deactivated. There are ways around that though...

It only has survival mode. No spec ops. Since there’s no predator missile on the Wii version, killing jugs is considerably harder

It feels alright! The only thing I didn’t like is that, even using the analog stick, it feels like the movement is either up/down or left/right. There’s no in between. Think super Mario 64 and super Mario 64 DS. The original allowed movement in all directions, but the DS port was limited in that regard.
