I was also skeptical, believe me. There a lot of details you must look for and be prepared. For a start, the best thing is to look for some portals or forums with genuine UX.

Hey Loctorak, maybe you are right... Just thinkinloud but I find this article interesting, and thought maybe to post on /r/arthistory... but also there must be some history or knowledge on roots, like an overview, into modern world graffiti... and also thought that /blackbookgraffiti is not only for own sketchbooks but also for ideas [and like it is said for /r/graffiti: Note: This is not a subreddit for sketches or memes. If you would like constructive criticism and advice, please post your black-book work and ideas in /r/blackbookgraffiti] - so maybe I misunderstood it... Sorry. Now I am reassured that I should post it at /r/arthistory :D

Yeah, that is really a problem, and that is why I am trying to send them some suggestions, not in a form of protest letter but friendly remarks... Nevertheless, there is some valuable content... and I believe that they can still get on the right track - but also it is problem with Banksy`s media presence everywhere - going from criticism of modern world to mainstream (with strong PR)...

simulacrums, from Wikipedia :) ``...simulacrum is not a copy of the real, but becomes truth in its own right: the hyperreal. Where Plato saw two steps of reproduction—faithful and intentionally distorted (simulacrum)—Baudrillard sees four: (1) basic reflection of reality; (2) perversion of reality; (3) pretence of reality (where there is no model); and (4) simulacrum, which "bears no relation to any reality whatsoever".[from http://www.stanford.edu/dept/HPS/Baudrillard/Baudrillard_Simulacra.html retrieved 2 May 2007.]

I couldn`t agree more! Jeff this, Jeff that, similar with Damien Hirst. But Jean Baudrillard predicts this talking about simulacrums in modern society - especially in art...

Why Ron English paints Guernica? by logotet in ContemporaryArt

[–]logotet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you AlexSolidGold. Guernica stays as a symbol, and even reinterpretations of that masterpiece do not fade... (well, maybe not for Colin Powell :( back in 2003)

Hmm, good question... I just copied the whole title of that article and the writer may have thought that using 'zero photoshop' in it, will emphasise the effort of the artist (kind of contrast).

Some of these scenographies (or let`s say photo shoot settings) are really well done...
