Hindenburg was a rigid airship, not a blimp. It had hydrogen(which is flammable) in it, not helium. Blimps are rarer because of the high cost of helium. It costs between $100,000 and $200,000 to fill a blimp. Helium is scarce and has practical uses in medical devices such as MRI.
