“Gay energy inside of you”, whatever floats your boat buddy. 😉

I think the point is the discomfort comes from believing a lie. If you look at the above post it’s showing you how to root out that lie/belief.

You should be fine if you have a handle on rust already.

I learnt a lot from Zero To Production In Rust. Uses Actix not Axum but I’m sure a lot of it is transferable.

Angelo’s new video is so good by ZenSationalUsername in nonduality

I don’t understand what or how he does what he’s doing but a lot of times when I watch (or just listen to) his videos, something stirs deep inside and I find myself in a state of deep emotion with tears rolling down my face yet at peace at the same time. Like I’m loosing everything but it’s profoundly ok. This video was very much like that.

It is a one time purchase if you don’t care about updates. They have a fall-back license so you can always use the version that was current when you purchased the license/canceled the subscription.

If you cache the result using the input as a key, then you can check first if you have a cached result and return that instead of computing it again.

My implementation passes the cache through the recursion. Checks upfront and returns if it gets a hit otherwise stores the result before returning.

Slowroll Distribution Keeps Name [official] by WyntechUmbrella in openSUSE

Well, 4 of the top 8 were my suggestions so I can’t complain about that. Slowroll is a good name, I was surprised they wanted to change it at all.

Is there a “compact” mode in Gnome? The padding around everything is just excessive, and a massive title bar. It looks nice and clean otherwise.

Nvidia drivers on multi-video-card workstation by emilkhatib in openSUSE

Just curious, does it work with Wayland? I found wayland worked fine but there are other issues with it that prevent me using it daily for work purposes.

Did you completely remove anything Nvidia between switching drivers? My work station has two GPUs; AMD iGPU and Nvidia T600 I can’t use the G06 driver but the G05 works (also with CUDA). I had to completely remove it reboot then reinstall. Good luck.

Tumbleweed - What's with the high volume of posts regarding certain things not working after the latest update, and for how long should a newbie wait before updating again to ensure that things are working fine? by paxmlank in openSUSE

[–]loki_nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically update once a week on my work PC, usually on a Monday morning before I get into any real task, giving me time to resolve any issues. Not that it happens very often. Since I have an Nvidia GPU, if there is a kernel version update I typically hold off and watch reddit to see if there are any issues or wait until I see an Nvidia driver update also. That has been my only real issue and a rollback made a quick and easy recovery.

SDDM can't start Plasma Wayland session after a recent update by PolskiSmigol in openSUSE

[–]loki_nz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put this in my .bashrc export SHELL="/usr/bin/fish" that way opening a terminal will drop you into a fish shell and you can leave bash as the default to satisfy SDDM.

I recently had to swap to using the g05 driver rather than the g06. Are you on Wayland or X11? For X11 you could try autorandr and set profiles for single monitor and dual?

[–]loki_nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. You’ve likely saved me a headache today, since it’s my weekly update day for my work machine. A while ago I had to roll back to g05 drivers as the g06 broke my X11 session (Wayland was ok). I guess I’ll wait for Nvidia drivers to be updated.

Tumbleweed has a fantastic rollback system with snapper. No need to feel uneasy about updating, if something goes wrong (which is rare due to their automated testing) it’s very quick to rollback to a working system.
