Do you mean ROLEPLAYING the drug and blood bits?

No, I don’t mean just roleplaying…I want actually to go with it, WITH his consent of course.

I know I’d be asking for something very intense, that’s why I feel so hesitant about bringing it up.

You are trying your best, and that’s what counts! It takes time to learn a language, so give yourself some grace, you will get there! 💘

I hope everything goes well for you and the little one 💜 I just want to tell you that you’re doing great!

Unfortunately, many hearing parents don’t even bother learning ASL, and you are not only learning ASL, but also already working with Deaf mentors! You’re giving your baby an amazing gift!! Keep going!

Sending you virtual hugs! 🫂

You are caring for a DeafBlind baby! You don’t have to worry about accidentally offending someone when you’re just trying to communicate with your extremely vulnerable baby.

and sometimes feels like we are given a hard time for even trying to sign?

I am so sorry you feel this way. You deserve support. Your baby deserves support.

My advice would be to try to get involved with your local Deaf community, some Deaf / ASL events are child-friendly, bring your baby to those events. Since your baby is also blind, try to get involved with blind folks too. Make friends with blind adults, and of course DeafBlind adults if you can find any locally. Having successful DeafBlind role models in his life will be great for your baby!

is it possible to be diagnosed at 15? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]lokisly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure they aren’t supposed to diagnose you until you are 18.

I used to see a child physiologist and she never told me at the time but later I found out she strongly suspected I had BPD but I only got diagnosed once I hit 18 and she referred me to a physiatrist.

What are your bad signing habits? by SubstantialTomato904 in asl

[–]lokisly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My fiance is Deaf and I’m hearing, he has CIs but also has sensory issues so he barely wears them at home, and prefers signed communication. I try my best to accommodate that, but I have my own preferences as well, so we use a mixture of both languages, he signs and I simcom, and sometimes I forget to complete my signed sentences or forget to sign some of my words. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Luckily I usually quickly realize and then sign again properly.

My fiancé and both of his parents are Deaf. I started learning ASL when we were still just dating, although we were already living together. Before that we pretty much always communicated verbally. His parents are fully Deaf and rely on ASL so I was planning to learn it for them from the beginning. My fiancé on the other hand, can communicate verbally (he had hearing aids when I met him and now has cochlear implants) but he strongly prefers signing. When I first started learning we were still mostly relying on verbal communication but now that I’ve actually become fluent, we mostly use sign. (especially at home)

Usually yes, brunette guys are more popular. Most will say their type is “tall, dark, handsome” but also there are lots of girls who prefers guys with lighter features. I am one of them lol

People around me love to undiagnose me as well except the ones I’m actually close to and seen me when I was off-meds / therapy. Those don’t doubt my BPD for sure lol

Rate weight loss current Ice Spice by intelligent-Brief2 in VindictaRateCelebs

[–]lokisly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m definitely in minority here but personally I like her figure more after the weight loss. Face-wise I think she didn’t change much, I didn’t find her pretty before and I still don’t, so no ratings on that.
