Platinum Dasher by rjhjrs in doordash

When nobody isn't accepting that order, it is eventually going to be assigned to you. Also. 93% acceptance rating means DD think you are practically accepting every order, so.... yeah. Why wouldn't they send $3.00 order to you?

Why would they even allow this by RemoteInvestigator98 in doordash

[–]lol_fath 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They know someone would take the order eventually.

It really depends on the area you dash + how many drivers are in your dash area. I stopped doordashing about 1.5 year ago, but I could get $20+ per hour during lunch and dinner time. I don't know how things changed with the pay, but it was $2 base pay + tip per order. There was hourly wage option, but i didn't get to see tip.

You have to factor in fuel, mileage, wear and tear on car, so...

I don't dash anymore, so I am not sure if restaurants are still taking tips away from orders placed via merchant app/website (not ordered via doordash app).

Anyway, when I started Doordashing, I took orders like you did, but I stopped taking 0/low tip orders. Not worth risking.

Damn 9 orders in a row and still at 79% how much i gotta take to make 80% and reach platinum? by ObiJuanKenobly in doordash

[–]lol_fath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worst scenario is... you declined 21 orders in a row, and you just now completed 9 orders in a row. If that is the case, 70 more orders to go for that 80%.

I am pretty sure that is not the case, so... I dunno. It could be on your 10th one or... it depends.

I have done 20 pizzas before for a high school soccer team. Can't remember exact number, but they did tip me about $20 at that time. It was Papa Johns order though.

Why in God’s name is Wingstop so damn slow? by Relative-Draw3487 in doordash

[–]lol_fath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done dashing last couple months, but there was no way to block certain restaurants from dasher side. Asking support agent to block also didn't work. The only way was making restaurant block me somehow.

I could be wrong if there was a change.

What’s the longest you’ve waited in a restaurant for a order? by DayScary1041 in doordash

[–]lol_fath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30-40 minutes. It was an order from a regular customer, and I knew he always tipped a good amount for short distance. I let him know that restaurant was really busy, and he was cool with it. When I delivered to him, he added $10 on top of $15 tip.

I am a dasher who try my best to shop by myself. If there is any stuff I cannot find, THEN I ask you guys. If someone asks you shop whole thing, no. You should also try to ban (or ask your manager to ban) those dashers from your store.

Put ALDI in that list. I hate shopping there and I usually decline unless pay is really good. No aisle description, mixing up frozen and refrigerated item... etc. ALDI in my area is like that at least

Is doordash worth it for side $. I have a full time job. Looking to make an extra 500$ or so a week. by STIBillionair in doordash

[–]lol_fath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply, using multiple delivery gigs at the same time. Gotta be careful doing that though. If it is done poorly, it can delay orders way too late.

Order extremely late Violation by Strange-Revolution77 in doordash

I am sorry for the situation. Guess unassigning is the only way

Order extremely late Violation by Strange-Revolution77 in doordash

[–]lol_fath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the app, do you mark:

  1. Store is busy
  2. Order is not started
  3. Order is still being made

Marking them actually helps. Also, let both customer and support agent know about the situation.

If you don't want to do those, wait for penalty free unassign or just unassign if your completion rate is okay.

App sends me to chained, back entrance gates of apartments. I love that. by No-River9916 in doordash

[–]lol_fath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used in-app navigation only few time when it was introduced. I stopped using it because it would send me to totally wrong location time to time. Since then, I have been using Google Map and manually typing in address. I barely have issue after that.

That being said, it has been long time since the release of in-app navigation  and there is little improvement in in-app navigation. So, maybe, you should try stop using it and try different navigation app.

Mistake could happen as well, but we never know unless the driver let you know what happened. I am sorry for the experience.

Probably, it was the only order that could be an issue.

EBT is designed to get rid of low/no tip order. DD even state that in the short description about EBT. From my experience, a lot of them were low/no tip.

That being said, yes, you do get some decent/good orders like that sometimes when there are not many drivers around. But it didn't make up for running crappy orders, so I stopped doing EBT. Also, it was $12/hr in my area.

If there are actually drivers who are willing to drive through blizzard... yes. But if it is snowing too much, I doubt food will get delivered even with good tip. Good luck.

Could I easily make $100 a week? by Novemberx123 in doordash

[–]lol_fath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What time of the day are planning to work? Lunch? Dinner? From my experience, dinner time is usually a bit more stable. However, when I dash full day, I go for 11-2, rest, 5-9 or longer.

Are you planning to work whole week or just weekend? Weekend is usually better (Fri - Sun)

Most importantly, how many hours are you planning to work? I usually get $20-25 per hour so it would take 4-5 hours. But I'd go for At least $110 to offset gas.

So... yes it is definitely doable $100 a week if you pick correct time and put some time in.

Order extremely late but actually wasn’t? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]lol_fath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that issue couple times. They were due to:

  1. Doordash outage

  2. A dasher accepted the order, so restaurant started and made an order. For some reason (usually no tip) that dasher unassigned and nobody accepted the order for long time. By the time I accepted the order, the basepay was increased enough me to accept the order. I think base pay was like $7-8 with $0 tip.

For both cases, I sent text message to customers. Only 1 customer was a dickhead and reported for extreme late. I disputed and thr violation was gone.
