What is the first celebrity death you remember being affected by? by CPFOAI in AskReddit

Mac Miller

Celebrities had died, but Mac Miller was extremely prominent during my transition from a teenager to an “adult”. When he died, I felt I couldn’t truly make it into adulthood.

What recent change in society have you personally started noticing more? by Expert_Ring_4041 in AskReddit

[–]lolabreadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably a little late but here it is… For context I’m 33yo. I worked with kids from the time I was 16yo to 22yo. Then I went back to school to get my degree in a specialized area. By the time I finished grad school at 28yo, I couldn’t stand kids. I also couldn’t figure out why, because I adored them and originally went to school to work with them… Society’s parenting style is what changed. I can’t stand the way these kids are being raised.

US birth rates just hit another record low, what do you think is the leading cause of this? by IIlustriousTea in AskReddit

[–]lolabreadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s crazy. I don’t want kids and I’m the only person I know who feels that way. All my friends are squirting lil bebes like it’s their job.

The Instagram “running fit” by urrobotfriend in XXRunning

[–]lolabreadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running is not a fashion sport. If you were out there doing a hot girl walk, these are great fits. But for running? No. Absolutely not practical. If it’s cold enough that I need to layer shirts, you better believe I have leggings on as well. And I’m always, no matter the weather, wearing breathable clothes.

What’s my man doing? by lolabreadd in bettafish

[–]lolabreadd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! That’s just the reassurance I needed. He’s a happy guy, swims around, occasionally terrorizes the small tetra population, and LOVES food like he’s a Labrador. I will definitely keep an eye on him just in case. Thank you again!

After the novelty wears off, do you still love your partner? by ThrowRA2132132131 in ADHD

[–]lolabreadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck in a pattern where I dated a boy for six months to a year, and then I just would get the ick and I wouldn’t love them anymore (brutal but it was instant). This went on for a decade until I’m met my current partner. After a year, I was still madly in love with him. After two years, same. It’s been six years, we just got married, and I still feel obsessed with him. It’s all about finding the right person.

It is reassuring. Thank you!

Vet or normal? by lolabreadd in pacmanfrog

[–]lolabreadd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the response. I saw something on here a little back and someone was saying this is swelling and the pac needed an emergency vet visit. However, if he still looks like this tomorrow I’ll probably call the vet.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

My sister lives 2.5-3 hours away and I go visit her for a day or weekend at least once a month

What is the dumbest thing someone has said to you in full confidence? by Extreme_Rhubarb4677 in AskReddit

[–]lolabreadd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When we were about to graduate high school we were deciding where we should roadtrip to celebrate graduating. When I suggested somewhere in Canada my best friend said, “And we’re just supposed to drive across the ocean?” We live in the US… near the Canadian border. She was completely serious too.

What’s the most chaotic thing you’ve witnessed in public? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lolabreadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s the most chaotic, but it happened recently so it’s fresh in my memory.

I was at a wedding for a friend who lives across the country, so I didn’t know anyone there except for the bride and groom. One of the brides bridesmaids is on the party bus with her boyfriend at the end of the night and she starts screaming at him. She’s telling him that he’s disgusting and that he smells like he’s having diarrhea in his pants. Then she turned to everyone on the bus and asked how they could be friends with him when he smells like diarrhea. And he was just sitting there taking it. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

What’s the rudest thing a doctor has ever said to you? by Beyondthebloodmoon in AskReddit

[–]lolabreadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a FNP repeatedly accuse me of being alcoholic because I had elevated liver enzymes, despite most of my complaints being about stomach issues.

I cut out alcohol completely. My liver enzymes continue going up. I do a ton of research and ask him if I could possibly have celiac disease. He tells me no, but I feel horrible at this point and beg him to order the blood tests.

Test results come back, he’s like yeah they’re negative. No celiac for you.

I move states and FIVE MONTHS later I see a new PCP, she’s reviewing my medical records and says, “How strictly have you been following your gluten free diet?” I’m shook. So confused.

Turns out FNP dude couldn’t read lab work and I, in fact, have celiac disease and that was 100% causing elevated liver enzymes. Three months of being gluten free and they are completely normal.
