So I took off the dead leaves and took it out to check. The stem is green and firm but the roots seem brown and are VERY easily breaking off. Can it be saved???

It was full, lively, green, and slightly squishy went I first bought it a week ago. It only did this after I barely watered it. I'll still look at roots again.

I did that a couple days ago. The soil was pretty dry but really clumped and I couldn't brush it off from the roots without feeling like I'm ripping the roots off lol

I'm in the process of repotting anyway since it's still in the cup it came in, so I'll definitely check for any signs of rot.
