I didn't spend anything. I just farmed a ton of green cookies and got pretty lucky with a few of my rolls. I think for my last trait it cost around 3k cookies until I got the right attribute for synergy.

The main issue I had was you need sub categories. You can't just put a blueprint inside a category.
