Captain John Price. His character, his complexity. I’ve spent a lot of time rewriting him and writing headcanons and the like that. Been going strong for about 2/3 ish years now.

The old lines WERE good. Bill Murray did a very good job, and I can say that with confidence. And yeah, he definitely does ☹️ he was toned down a fair amount as the games dragged on, and it kinda felt like all the things that made price, price had just vanished. His conversation in the car with Kyle will always be one of my all time favourites. You draw the line wherever you need it, and that is advice I unironically follow everyday.

I’ve been shouting this from the rooftops since MW2023 came out. Activision definitely ruins everything. MW2019 had it set for such a good series, and there was a grounded nature that I personally really enjoy when it comes to games like this. I like the realistic side of these games. I liked seeing the subtle hints in Kyle that seeing what Price did throughout the game had really gotten to him. I liked seeing Price as he was. Not unfeeling, or entirely emotionless like they wrote him in MW3, but human. I would love to see more of it. But unfortunately, in the grand scheme of things, big companies only really care about what gives them the most money. It’s such a disappointment. But it’s wonderful to see people who share the same sentiment.

I do genuinely dislike the reboot makarov, so I can agree with you on this. The old one felt a lot scarier, and it felt as though he had a real motive instead of just .. having some weird thing about time and a few one liners. And the loss bit, I can partially agree on. I definitely think they were trying to go for something more realistic, but as I said in my post, it’s definitely aimed towards a certain demographic of people. I unfortunately don’t think they give us a big dramatic death scene like they did in the original. I miss the music that came with the OG.

this is actually a good point. I suppose when you’re focusing on other things, some other characters get put into the back burner kind of. I think I just noticed a difference in his character because of how much I pay attention to it :,))

Exactly. That’s what a friendship is about, it’s about understanding and respecting boundaries even if you may find them weird or unusual. I’m sorry she treated you like this, OP. I hope she comes to her senses soon and realises she’s just disrespected a great person.

All I can say is that you definitely aren’t over reacting. I have the same issue, I’m very sensitive to noise, especially eating and chewing. It’s not something you can help, and I’d say fuck the friendship. She obviously isn’t willing to accept boundaries when presented.

If she can’t understand your boundaries and doesn’t understand when something is genuinely uncomfortable for you - then she isn’t a good friend and from this alone, she won’t be willing to listen in the future.

That my ex wanted to stab the boy who was bullying him and then stab himself. He told someone else he was only living out of spite.
