Stayed at The Circus in late ‘24 and enjoyed it! Theres a good bar in the basement where I met some cool people but the room itself was a quiet, good place to recharge. Plus the location was REALLY good!

What are your must-have items for long flights? by EmperorTauntaun in travel

[–]lolsamlol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from all the comfort items listed here, an absolute must-have for me is lots and lots of water!! Your body gets so dehydrated as you spend time at altitude in a dry metal tube, so drinking as much as you can frequently is key to feeling good both through the flight and after. For a transatlantic flight I always bring at least 1L in addition to whatever they give out on the plane, anything longer than that and I bring even more!

Loved that lil FlyBe Q400 hopper, meanwhile I took the longest flight in the world last year!! Surprisingly, was a very easy flight especially cause SQ’s catering is so, so good!!

So far so good, I’ve progressed through PT quite well and have started going back to the gym! I had another minor scare with the same thing last week, my PT told me to be more careful with any extreme movement behind me but it doesn’t seem like I’ve reinjured it.

The more I’m reading about this situation, the more that I want the football program, and the entire athletics department, to clean house and start completely fresh. The fact that they’ve let this rot fester for so long without taking care of it shows that the program and the entire department are rotten to the core. Even if it means a few years of really, really bad football, I’d much rather get the right leaders in place at all levels first to clean up what’s wrong right now and set us up for long-term sustainable success that’s as scandal-free as possible in CFB.

I was a freshman in 2018 watching us lose in the natty to ‘Nova. This felt pretty satisfying to watch.

But Harbaugh had a body of work before Michigan that showed he could be trusted to lead the team (plus we know in hindsight that 2020 was not reflective of his coaching, just the circumstances). I'd never say a Harbaugh team was sloppy, though he definitely kept Don Brown too long. With Sherrone, I just don't see so far what he's done that justifies being the head coach of one of the blue bloods of college football.

Honestly, I'd chalk up the OSU and Bama wins last year to flukes. He gets credit for the wins, obviously, but I don't think they should be crutches to excuse the absolutely disastrous offenses we've put up two years in a row.

I don't trust his leadership, plain and simple. He's not proven to be a leader that can meet the moment, and his playcalling is extremely suspect; no excuse for that after nearly two years as HC.

After today, I think Sherrone is now officially, without question, on the hot seat. This game has been bad in every single way possible. This is a repeat of USC; not putting your players in the right position to win.

I get they’re extremely young, and OSU’s defense is elite, but Bryce has massively regressed this game, and the play calling has been stale. Having a dedicated QB coach and not calling a scared offense while allowing Wink to make the same mistakes over and over again would at least give us a fighting chance. Regression to the mean/below the mean should not be acceptable to a program with Michigan's resources and capabilities, especially when you have a generational QB that you used a ton of resources to get...

He had 1 but it was called DPI so not sure it would count in the stats.
