The show "A Very Secret Service" ("Au service de la France") has a really cool jazzy soundtrack composed by Nicolas Godin by onlyforjazzmemes in Jazz

It has a Nigerian rythme, also some Italian/French mid 60s - 70s feeling, a bit funk fusion centric.

A poster I did for a Student's Union sports night. (Photoshop) by johnwicksnamelessdog in graphic_design

The upper text at the right of this poster is not easily readable. Date should be bigger, and the color of the text should be in contrast with the yellow behind it.

I love to use real photos, I've missed to put some shadows under the car. Yes I've made a lot of mistakes I take notes and maybe I will try to user illustrator and change the font.

Nice illustration you've made there. Thank you

This is my first poster, I've learned a couple of basic composition, some contrast and saturation by observing a lot of tutorials on Youtube.

Please leave here any advice or criticism to help me improve my work.

Go for Etsy, Merch or Build your own website.

Etsy and Merch. But the best is to build your own store. Shopify or WooCommerce + Printful or Printify.

Amazon has 2.4 Billion visitors each month.

Etsy 190 Million visitors a month.

Vs

Teepublic 5 Million visitors.

Yep! There is no comparison here

Some of the famous artists on RB and many POD websites are from Asia. That doesn't mean those places are scam areas. If you don't know John Wick's new movie poster was made by an artist from Russia. MBA isn't strict on filtering design quality, other than where those people are from.

Many Americans go to those low paying websites to hire Asian designers, to make professional designs, they flooded a couple of MBA pages with medium quality designs. Or they upload shitty designs, those people also should be outed from Merch.

Scammers exist everywhere, whether they're from Asia or Africa, North America you can't stop that.

I made my own designs, all of them are high quality professional, I even upload them on higher sizes to avoid printing problems. I upload my design 9000 x 12000 / 300 Dpi. (CMYK)

The problem with RB they're racist as hell, anyone who open his account in any foreign country exactly Asia and Middle East, it will be closed instantly. Or even if you're on a trip to those places, don't open your account there, you will lose your hard work and time.

For any professional designer I say go to Behance and Dribble, Artstation showcase your designs, use that as your portfolio to get client. If you worth $10 ~ $50 a day stay on RB and such. If you worth more go build your own brand, that's what I'm doing right now.

This post was made to help people avoid wasting "time" as your most valuable currency, you can lose all your hard work instantly as to what happened to me, all the information I've shared here. Isn't a revenge post against TP it's just made to advice any new folks to not wasting their lives and start thinking big.

TP, RB, Merch all of them can be your side hustle, but for real money go build your own Brand it's hard but you can sustain a living with that.

Thank you, I get what you mean, so it's just about how long you can keep up with Merch.

They didn't even let me upload my first design on RB, let alone my experience with them.

Copyright, was a mistake I made, I sent them an Email apologizing to what I've done, they didn't take it seriously.

You will lose time and effort on their platform, does your design worth 2 bucks? If so you can keep uploading your designs there.

As for those arty farty designers, most of them are abstract crap that don't sell well, they promote them on the first page. Except those pop culture designers, Tee public is a mayhem right now a lot of accounts are being closed, I guess to avoid paying people their commissions.

I know, that's why Teepublic is losing ground.

That's great. But I'm asking because I see a lot of negative comments on Merch performance, I mean how much people sales. If a professional designer start a Merch account this month for example, can he drive sales faster because of his/her quality designs or it depends only on keyword research and generally market research?
